1977 FORD - F250 - RANGER - 4x4 Unique opportunity - "BARN FIND" - very rare low mileage example of a well built F250 pickup truck. The vehicle was purchased from the original owner who ordered the truck personally for himself. 35 years later...here she is with 33,431 original miles.The truck was delivered and spent its whole life on Long Island in New York. Details: The engine is 351 cubic inch with 400 horsepower. 351M/400.The transmission is a Warner T18 or T19 - 4 speed manual. The front and rear differentials are Dana Model 44-6CF-HD and Dana Model 60.Factory air conditioning and cruise control. Factory sliding rear window. Factory ordered lockable fiberglass cap with sliding rear window, side and rear glass, interior light and vent. The cap is in great condition. The original carburetor was rebuilt and replaced by the original owner recently. The alternator, battery and the belts were recently replaced. The starter was replaced and the engine oil and filter were changed on 3/9/12. As the photos show the interior is in incredible condition.There is an in dash Clarion am/fm cassette player with speakers in both doors. An owner installed tachometer (functioning).Door panels, headliner, seat, carpet, glove box, shift levers and interior light intact and in mint condition. The truck had been sitting unused in an unheated garage for over 10 years. Before that it was a third car to the owner and he rarely used it. The truck has front disc brakes with rear drum brakes. The truck will not roll currently as the brakes need to be rebuilt completely, front and back due to rust. The tires need to be replaced due to dry rotting and cracking. The original 8 lug rims are on the truck. The motor runs excellent however something is sticking inside the carburetor and the gas pours out of it after two minutes at idle. The four wheel drive works and was rarely used with no beach riding. Just used in the snow. The transmission works fine as well.Rubberized fender flares and running boards were installed and a brush guard with winch platform comes with the truck. There is a second battery tray in the engine compartment for a winch battery. The original paint is 35 years old and looks as to be expected with this age and the quality of paint that these vehicles are known for. The body panels are straight and the truck has never been in an accident. Although some mesh and body filler work and 'touch ups' are clearly evident. Some rust is present at areas but isolated. The cab and bed are solid. Both bumpers are intact and solid.There are also skid plates at the front differential and the transfer case. This IS FORD power and construction at its BEST.A LOW MILEAGE, custom ordered vehicle with 400 HP, factory a/c, cruise control, sliding rear window, and a Ford motor company cap. I wanted to restore this vehicle but I own 7 cars and I am currently selling off part of my collection. The highest bidder wins the truck AS IS with the cap and brush guard installed.
