Up for bid is a really nice 1976 Trans Am . The motor and trans are the original equipment that came with the car . The car is Firethorn Red and has a correct white interior. I ordered the PHS paper work for the car . I also ordered a window sticker that will also be included in the auction when it arrives. I took pictures of all of the PHS details that will tell all about this car. In 1976, Pontiac made 110,775 Firebirds, and of those, 46,701 were Trans Ams. Of the 46,701 that were built, 7528 came with the L-75 455 4-bbl with a 4-speed transmission. This was the last year for the big block .The motor was rebuilt and runs strong and the transmission shifts nice and smooth. This car has been tucked away since 1998. The car was originally purchased from EXECUTIVE PONTIAC -CADILLAC in Missoula Montana for a whopping 5185.77. The odometer shows 76k miles which I have no reason to believe is not correct. The car runs , drives and stops. I will say there is no exhaust system on the car. It was taken off when the motor was rebuilt and never re-installed. The car is really solid and would make for a pretty easy restoration. The paint on the car is faded. The headliner is not ripped, but is falling down. The car has power windows but the drivers side window does not work. I took pictures of a lot of the imperfections. The damage done to some of the moldings and the piece on the front of the car were done while the car was in storage by the previous owners kids dragging their bikes in and out of the garage. The car was kept in a very dry garage and was started periodically. It has a factory tilt wheel, stock rally 2s, power windows ect . that can all be see on the PHS documents. Underneath the car is also really clean. The car has a clean title and is in my name. This is a great car that I would love to keep, but already have too many.
