Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1970 Chrysler New Yorker 2 door hardtop with 52,780 ORIGINAL MILES. This cars comes equipped with the original 440 V8 engine along with a 727 Torqueflite transmission. Car is also equipped with air conditioning, power windows, power bench seat - 6 way, AM radio, power steering and brakes, left outside remote mirror, 3 - speed windshield wipers, undercoating and light package. I have owned this car since 2004 and, I am the third owner. I do have the original window sticker and manual that came with this car as well as some partial service records from one of the previous owners. The tires on this car are BFGoodrich Radial T/A's 235/70r/15. Tires have only around 7,000 miles on them and are in good condition. Body:This car is very solid as far as the trunk floor, floor pans, fenders and everywhere else. The ONLY place that exibits rust through the body is on the right corner of the back glass under the vinyl top. The vinyl top on this car is in poor condition and needs attention. The glass on this car is good and does not have any cracks. Windows have been tinted as well. The front valance has been damaged underneath the front bumper. I have another valance for it that came off another car along with the brackets. The car maintains it's original paint and stripe job with exception of the right side. From the front to rear bumper, one can see that there is a slight paint line underneath the original green pinstripe and stops at the top of the lower chrome molding. I am not sure if the car had been scratched or suffered minor damage to the body. Not super noticeable from 10 yards back or so. The exhaust on this car is solid and may have turbo mufflers on it but not for sure. The car has a very nice rumble but not overkill. As with most 42 year old cars, it exibits a ding here and there along with chips in the paints as well. Front bumper has a couple slight dimples and the rear bumper has a blemish on the left side. Interior:Interior is in good shape considering the cars age. Interior exibits some ware on the driver side seat and floor along with some fading here and there. The steering wheel has some cracks and the headliner has one tear line that is approximately 3 inches long. Backseat and floor are in excellent condition. Power windows, power seat and wiper all work. AM radio works but will only adjust stations with push buttons rather than dial. Car heats well and A/C works. Buttons for the A/C controls tend to have issues with sticking. All gauges including speedometer work as well. Engine:Engine runs strong and well. It is equipped with a Holley 600 4 barrel carburator and has performed well. Car shifts nicely and has a good ride. Engine leaks a little oil and transmission leaks as well. Replaced:Since I have owned the car, I have replaced the following:- Heater Valve- Intake Manifold Gaskets- Alternator- Belts and Hoses- Coil- Carburator- Fan Clutch- Water Pump- Power Steering Lines and O-Rings- Some front end work Rebuilt:- The third member was professionally rebuilt about 2 years ago.- The electronic ignition module, coil and distributor were shipped to Linder Fuel Services in Speedway, IN. on or about 02/16/12. Everything was professionally gone through and checked for proper spark and checked out good. The advance weights were cleaned and polished and he curved the distributor for a 440 Dodge all in at 2500 RPM to factory specs.
