Vehicle Detail

67 camper special - a good old truck that's I don't have time to restore. Came from a local farmer/contractor and was last on the road in 06. According to the door tag it has a 4.56 rear end! The engine is the original 352-2bbl backed by a 4 speed (should be an NP435 according to the numbers). Even has factory west coast junior mirrors, radio delete, manual choke, original rubber floor mat. Camper special emblems and has a wiring plug on the side of the bed and 4 camper tie downs. Does not have the bedside tool box. The truck wasn't running when I got it but showed 43,000 miles - when the BMV made out the title they marked it 'exceeds odometer' but you can be the judge. I replaced a sloppy timing set and the truck fired right up. It needs a carb rebuild - starts hard cold but once its warmed up the truck starts and runs fine. Clutch feels good and shifter feels like new. I've never had an np435 that shifts this nice. Has newer exhaust but needs a manifold donut gasket. Brakes are weak but I'm including a full set of replacement parts - wheel cylinders, hoses, master cylinder a new turn signal switch, rubber bushings for the front radius arms, and whatever misc I've accumulated for the truck. Also has newer radiator hoses, cap wires, fuel lines, etc. Wheels are modern 8 lug steel with fair tires - the old bead lock rims were replaced. There is some rust along the drivers side edge of the floor, rust through on the hood and tailgate edges, etc as shown. The bed itself is solid except for some pinholes on the flat pieces in the corners of the bed floor. Frame and chassis are solid. Has been repainted white over the original tan, with a tan and maroon interior. Interior is average - bench seat is nice and not broken down, lights work (taillights stick on intermittently, I bumped into the headlight and broke it but it still lights up! Will include a good one with the truck). Good glass. Passenger door latch sticks sometimes. Other items of interest - has painted bumpers but the bright aluminum grill, and the gas tank is under the bed, not behind the seat. There's a rubber plug in the cab where the filler neck would be - maybe an early production change? Have never seen this setup before. It can't be driven home as is, but will drive in the yard and onto your trailer. Hope to see this go to a good home. Thanks for looking! Located in New Richmond, Ohio, just off I-275 about 25 minutes from Cincinnati. On Mar-17-12 at 18:23:54 PDT, seller added the following information:Here's a few pics of the bed interior, sorry its dirty. There are pinholes in the rear corners as shown, however overall there's no soft spots and the bed is solid. Truck isn't leaning in these pics, itssitting on the edge of the gravel driveway There's a local junkyard that has a very nice rustfree tailgate for $75 if anyone is interested.
