Vehicle Detail

I have a reputation of giving long winded descriptions of cars that I list here on Ebay. But I like folks to know exactly what they are bidding on so that there are no unpleasant surprises. And everyone has always been happy with their purchase from me. I've sold about 30 cars from about $5k to $40k over the last few years on here. I am a 1st generation Camaro FREAK. I've been restoring them over 30 years now and I'm about to get the hang of it. I rate my cars as "A" , "B" or "C" cars. An "A" is a National contender, never, ever to be driven. A "B" is almost too nice to drive and will win consistantly at the local shows. A "C" is a super nice driver that will pick up a trophy now and then. This car is a "C" type car. I have a lot of requests for good builders. So sometimes I just take a car up to the point where all the hard, scarey metal work is done and someone can finish it out to their own taste. That's the case here. On to the car. This car was originally an L30 275 HP 327 with a Saginaw 4spd.Both are long gone.1243 VIN car. Came with manual drum brakes,10 bolt non-posi rear end and power steering. It came with a tach and console gauges from the factory, but both are long gone. However the wiring is intact for them and the original factory oil line is still there. The dataplate reads: 01A C168 ST 67-12637 LOS 12925 BODY TR 797-Z N-N PAINT E 2LG Which decodes as: Built 1st week of January 1967, 67 Sport Coupe with Custom Interior, Built in Van Nuys, Ca., Parchment Custom bucket seats, Madeira Maroon paint, all tinted windows, 4spd. transmission and center console. The car was stripped down to bare metal. The tail panel had a bad dent next to the gas filler neck, so I installed a new one. There was rust below the back window so I replaced the entire decklid to package tray panel. I installed a new trunk pan. Shock mount areas were good. Inner wheelwells, outer wheel wells, trunk extensons, drop offs and frame rails were all good. The left quarter panel had been replaced years ago and looked good. I installed a rear lower patch panel on the right quarter. New floor pans. New upper dash panel. Nice roof, rockers and firewall. Nice original doors and fenders. New inner fenders. New core support and bushings, new subframe bushings. New lower valance. New header panel. New cowl hood. Nice original decklid and a new rear spoiler. All the cutting and welding were done with a plasma cutter and migh welder using solid steel core wire (no flux core ever). Once all the cutting, welding and grinding were done, the rough in body work was completed and a yellow colored, rust inhibiting polyester primer was applied, It was longboarded and reprimed twice with 80 grit. Then a black lacquer primer was applied and longboarded with 180 grit twice. The bottom of the car was coated with truck bedliner. I then installed a new gas tank with new mounting straps and a new sending unit. New back bumper. New wheelwell moldings, new rocker moldings, new driprail moldings, new door mirror, all new emblems, new front bumper, new grill with new upper and lower moldings, new headlights and bezels, new parklights and lenses, new outer door handles. All nice original tinted door, vent window and quarter glass. The original back glass was installed with new clips and nice original stainless moldings. A new shaded and tinted windshield was installed with new clips and nice original stainless moldings. All of the original dash and trunk wiring is intact and in good shape. The engine compartment wiring is included but needs to be installed. The dash is complete and the car comes with the original keys. The original seats are with the car and will obviously need completely restored. The rear side panels are intact and will need restored. The original door panels come with the car. They are shot but have good stainless trim and emblems on them. It has 14x 6 Rallys with mismatched roller tires. The car will need your drive train, a complete interior kit, a weather stripping kit, etc. I suggest the car be blocked and reprimed a couple of times to make sure all the sand scratches are gone before painting. This car still has a long way to go, but is a real nice start. I have a clear Arkansas title in my name. The car is not advertised locally, but everyone knows that I build these cars and about a fourth of them sell locally by word of mouth before the end of the auction, so I reserve the right to stop the auction should a local show up with cash. Of course,if you hit the Buy it now,it is yours.I will require a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 via Paypal within 24 hours. The balance is due within 7 days via Bank wire transfer or cash in hand. If you use the wire transfer, I can overnight the title to you. I can store the car up to 30 days inside. I am available just about anytime to help you load it or help a transport driver load her up. The car can be viewed about anytime. Please ask any and all questions you may have before bidding. Thank you.
