I have decided to sell my beautiful 1973 Porsche 914. I bought this car a couple of years ago to add to my collection because I wanted to own one of every series of 914. What impressed me about this car is it is not only the rare factory Alaska Blue color but it has had a high quality respray at some point in its life and the paint still shows beautifully. The other thing that impressed me about this car is it is a good example of a well cared for remarkably rust free California car that still wears its blue plates! Even the typical 914 problem areas of the battery tray, "hell holes" and rear trunk have been well preserved or professionally repaired. The car also has its original engine and transmission and even the original fuel injection! The only reason I have decided to sell this car is because I am scaling down my collection. This car runs and drives and the transmission shifts incredibly smoothly. I took the car out of storage and had the fuel tank flushed, all new fuel lines and hoses installed, oil leaks repaired, the master brake cylinder replaced, installed a new battery and voltage regulator. The interior is in nice original well preserved condition. There are two small circular repairs in each of the seats that you can see in the pictures. They never really bothered me so I never had them repaired. All lights and turn signals work, even the late 70's Alpine stereo works! The odometer works and currently shows 86,000 miles. The only things I would do if I was going to keep the car and drive it on a regular basis would be to tune the fuel injection, repair a small exhaust leak, replace some of the window seals and fix the windshield wipers that don't currently work. I do have a working windshield wiper motor that I will include with the car but I just have not had a chance to install it. This car is sold as is where is. There is no warranty written or implied. The car does have a clear California title but is not currently registered.
