Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a very nice 1974 MGB with a Parrish hardtop. I’m the third owner of this car. The second owner bought it in 1978 and I bought it from him in 1999. Based on the previous owner’s service records and my ownership, the mileage is correct. The body and paint are in good condition. The previous owner had an accident that damaged the left front sheet metal. The left fender and hood were replaced and the whole car was painted the original Blaze color. The sheet metal work under the hood ahead of the radiator bulkhead was not the best and there are a couple of wrinkles. The floors and trunk are rust free. There are some small bubbles alone top of the left rear fender seam and 5 small bubbles on lower left quarter panel. These spots were on the car when I bought it and have not changed. The panels are solid and I think it may be a paint prep problem. I have taken pictures of these areas. The front and rear suspension have been rebuilt. This included all new springs, bushings and rebuilt shocks. The brakes have been rebuilt. This included new master cylinder, rebuilt front calipers, new rear cylinders and flex lines. The clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder have been replaced. The engine is strong, has good oil pressure and runs well. The air cleaners are a K&N aftermarket setup for MGBs. I have the stock setup and it come with the car. The engine compartment needs some detailing. The transmission is solid without any shifting problems and stays in gear. The tires are like new. The interior has been completely redone and is in very good condition. The hardtop is also in very good condition. All of the glass, as well as the rear window in the hardtop, are in good condition. The soft top is in the car. Included with the car is the factory boot cover, a full tonneau cover, shop manual, owner’s manual and a collection of spare parts. I’m selling the car because I have too many cars and too little space. The car is not perfect but if that’s your goal it would be a good starting point. It has been fun to own and drive. Georgia does not provide titles for cars over 25 years old so the car is sold with a Bill of Sale and a copy of the current registration. Deposit of $500 within 3 days of the end of the auction via PayPal and the balance via Cashier’s Check or cash within 7 days of the end of the auction. Local pickup only. Will work with the buyer if the car needs to be shipped.
