1985 Honda ATC 250r 100% Completely OEM and Stock Original Up for sale is a clean and totally stock ’85 Honda ATC 250r water cooled model. No Air Foolers with this bike here! Details on this bike: This bike is completely 100% stock, down to the tires and grips. This bike is in good clean condition for its age. I am the second owner, and bought it from the original owner. Its all there, and this is a true survivor from the era when three wheelers were king. The bike was ridden pretty much exclusively at Pismo Beach, and sometimes at Glamis. Details about this bike:• No missing OEM parts, and starts on the first kick. • Its pretty clean. It does have surface rust on the axle in the normal spot and some wear marks on the frame. Please look carefully at the photos.• The plastic is good, 100% stock, no rips, tears or breaks. Normal scuffing from wear. The rear OEM fenders are actually in really, really good shape, and so is the OEM seat.• I have a clean California title for it.• I have new decals for the rear fenders (the number plates), but I could not bear to cover the Boardmanville Trading Post sticker from Glamis, which is a true relic from days gone by. • The bike starts, idles and runs perfectly. The previous owner told me he never took the bike apart and it is still on its original top end. This seems fine and the bike runs strong. It does NOT need to be replaced from what I can tell. • I would rate rear Stock Ohtsu tires at 45% tread life. Not new, but still somewhat thick and meaty. They are original. I can supply new NOS Ohtsu tires if you want for an added $90 with purchase. front is in much better shape.• Seat and swing arm are all clean.• Shrouds have little cracks along the bolt holes, but this is common on every older 250r. These shrouds are still available from Honda if you wanted to replace them.• If I were to restore this bike, I would paint the frame, replace the rear tires and fork boots. All these parts are available from Honda and are not that expensive. But, I am anal about my bike and it does look fine as it sits. This is not required and the bike is in good “barn find condition” as is. Overall, I would rate this bike an 8 or 8.5 out of 10. I award points for the fact it is 100% stock and has never been taken apart, and is thus true surviving un-restored original bike. Finding an ATC that has not been restored or molested is rare, and this is a great example of one. Will make a great rider, or restoration project. If you do want to restore, you really wont have to buy more than 2-3 parts.
