Vehicle Detail

I'm the original owner of this 2006 VW TDI New Beetle. This was the last year the Diesel Engine was put in the Beetle. I constantly get 38-40 miles per gallon in town and if you are wondering, yes, you can use bio-diesel (although I never tried) in this diesel engine. I believe the tank is around 12 gallons and I can go just over 500 miles before I need to fill up. How many cars can claim that on a 12 gallon tank? The GOOD News: · No Accidents, No Water Damage, No Issues and I’m a Non-Smoker · Exterior is Cream color with Tan Leather Interior · 2 - Door with Sun Roof and working A/C · Leather seating with manual adjustment. Back seats fold down for more cargo space · AM/FM CD w/auxiliary input of MP3 player (Had the car 2 years before I realized it had the auxiliary input J) · Brand new extra set of floor mats (not pictured) I cleaned the originals, but decided just to buy a new set to send with it when you buy it · 130,451 miles is not a problem for a Diesel Engine. This engine will have no issues going another 130,000 miles (saw a 2002 for sale on here with 345k miles!!) · Everything works (A/C, radio, lights, sun-roof, seat heaters, etc) Recent Repairs: Every used car has certain repairs that need to be done. I’ve taken good care of this and spent the money to keep it in good shape. I did all the regular maintenance from tires to oil. But, I also did the cosmetic maintenance. I list these here so you understand how I take care of my car. For instance: · Both front headlight housings have been replaced in the last year, so you don’t have that cloudy look to them · Front axles were rebuilt this past fall · Driver’s side window regulator replaced last week · Arm rest cover was replaced this past week · Driver side grab handle and side visor was replaced this past week · Dip stick assembly was replaced in December. These are made of plastic and need to be replaced about this age · Seats were covered most of its life so the leather is in excellent shape The NOT so good News: Although I take excellent care of my cars, there are certain things that happen after this much time · Scratch on rear bumper just above the license plate · Scratch on front bumper just to the right top of license plate · Scratches on center of Dash Board from bringing home a couple 2x4s from Lowes. This one irritates me because the dash is a soft rubber and you can't get the scratches out · Scratch on rear window tinting in center (most people don't notice it, but it is obvious to me because I remember when it happened moving a bicycle) · Scratch on one of the alloy wheels, but from the photos I can’t remember which one (I think it is the back left, but with tire rotation it may be someplace else) · Brakes are about 40% · Could use new rear shocks, but those are not that expensive If you are a Diesel fan, you will be happy buying this car. I'll accept cash, check, cashiers check and money order. However, all non-cash transactions will have to clear the banks before you can take the car. That could take several days to clear so you decide if you want to wait. On Mar-03-12 at 17:21:22 PST, seller added the following information: Several people have emailed & asked good questions. If you didn’t receive an answer yet, it is because I’m looking up the maintenance history so I can answer correctly. I will list answers to questions here so everyone has the same information: · Timing Belt & Transmission Service – Searching through records now to find exact date & mileage when/if either was done. I will post tonight. If I can’t find in my records, I will call mechanic on Monday and get it from his records & post Monday night. I will directly answer all individuals who sent the questions when I have the information. · 4 airbags – Steering & Dash in front plus side airbag in both seats. Auto off on passenger air bag · Yes rear head rests are present · Yes bud vase is present · Yes all original paint and body. No wrecks, no body repair, no water damage · Leather clean & tight, no damages · No rain sensing wipers, no auto dim rear view mirror, shift knob & steering both rubber, not leather (both clean & excellent shape) · Automatic & diesel · Looking up age of Tires, but they do not need replacing at this time · No, I will not end auction early. If you are afraid this will get away, use the “buy it now”. This vehicle is in as good of shape as others that have sold for more than $7,500 over the past 2 weeks. Thank you for looking. Keep the questions coming, I tried to answer them quickly. If it takes a while, then I'm looking up the correct information. Happy Bidding. Who ever wins, please take care of my Bug!On Mar-03-12 at 19:05:50 PST, seller added the following information: Ok, my organized wife found the receipts. So, in addition to the items already mentioned, here are the following major repairs. · 2009 Transmission flush & filter (about time for this again, but should only cost about $180) · 2/24/10 New timing belt (mileage was 86,858) · 9/24/10 New tires and alignment · 1/17/11 New Starter You might want to look this up on KBB. The Blue Book price is just over $9k, so if you use the “buy it now” button, you are going to get a great deal. Hope this answers everyone’s questions. Good Luck!On Mar-04-12 at 10:14:44 PST, seller added the following information: Wow, I never knew selling my car on eBay would create such a commotion! I have literally received dozens of emails asking that I end the auction early, that I finish the transaction outside of eBay or that I start over and relist the car so they can have an opportunity to grab the great Buy it Now (BIN) price originally posted. For those of you who are now emailing and asking “What happened to the BIN button?” No, I did not remove it. The way an auction works is the BIN is available to anyone who wants to use it UNTIL someone bids at or above the Reserve Price. Once the Reserve Price is met, the leading bidder has satisfied the seller’s minimum requirements and the BIN is no longer available. That is an automatic thing from eBay. It could even happen that the auction will end with a winner below the BIN, therefore the BIN is no longer applicable to the bidding process. To the several interested parties who figured out to late that the $6,999 BIN was more than $2k below the Blue Book Price and are now kicking your selves in the pants for not grabbing it, I’m sorry. And to those of you who would like me to cancel the auction and start over just to give you another opportunity, I will not do it. Although it may be within the rules of eBay for me to cancel the current bids and start over, it certainly wouldn’t be fair to the current high bidder who has placed his/her bid in good faith believing that I will honor their bid and the auction process. So, if you have any questions about the vehicle or want to come see it, I will be happy to respond. If your question is about the BIN, canceling the auction, starting over, or dealing outside of eBay, I will no longer respond. Although the BIN is no longer available, the car is still a great value. Look up on KBB dot com. This is a 2006 VW Beetle TDI DIesel with Package 1 options and a little over 130,000 miles. You will see that the blue book value is well over $9k. Good luck to all…..
