Here’s an extraordinary example of a surviving 1931 A Model Ford two door.
This A model features the original style four cylinder L head 40HP motor which is mated to the original style three speed sliding gear manual transmission.
It features the original 6 volt power source although now fitted with a six volt alternator for charging reliability.
The paint is in very good condition and exhibits a wonderful luster. This A was restored around 1994 and has been properly maintained and cared for since. The interior is in superb condition too.
This vehicle starts easily and runs great. The brakes are firm and the clutch is as smooth as silk. The lights and gauges all appear to be in working order. Even the ooga horn works and sounds 100% authentic.
It’s tough to find a vehicle of this vintage where all the mechanical aspects are in good working condition.
