Here we have the 356 you've been waiting for. The affordable driver. This 1960 Porsche 356B coupe left the factory in 608 Silver Metallic. It's a gorgeous color for a 356. This car is a solid driver that we wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere. The evidence of a well maintained engine is apparent -- new oil lines, new fuel filter, cap and rotor, new pulley, etc -- check out the engine photo to see what we mean. It runs strong, idles well, and has a strong clutch and brakes. As a bonus the engine has original Knecht wire mesh air cleaners, the preferred filter. Another bonus are the original Hella 128 fog lights. These are the desirable early version with yellow reflectors, a sought after option that is an expensive upgrade now. The car looks beautiful going down the road and from 10 feet, but make no mistake about it, this car needs a proper paint job. The car was unfortunately painted with a clear coat that has deteriorated and caused the paint to check, chip and come up in places. Please see the photos for details. The front seats are firm with no tears and look great. The dash shows very well, as do the door panels and hardware. With a proper trip to the Paint & Body shop this is a $45,000 car.
