If you have less than 5 feedback you must contact me through eBay prior to bidding or your bid will be canceled. This car is being relished due to the previous winner failing to contact me at all. I have also lowered the buy it now! For sale is my 2000 Honda Prelude. This car is not perfect, but it could make a good daily driver with some repairs or a parts car. The good: New tires (5,000 miles ago) New fuel pump (10,000 miles ago) New battery (less than 1,000 miles ago) New main fuel relay (less than 1,000 miles ago) Recent Tune up including, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and ignition coil (everything but coil about 10,000 miles ago. Coil under 1,000 miles ago) New EGR Valve (under 1,000 ago) New JVC stereo with iPod/iPhone connections. Sounds great. The interior is in great shape. The floors are about as dirty and worn as you'd expect for car of this age, but other than that the interior still feels much newer. The upholstery and dash look and feel great. The heat and A/C work well. Comes with: Original owners manual 1 regular key (black) 1 wireless fob 1 master key (red) 1 valet key (grey) 96-00 Accord/Prelude Chilton's repair manual 4 steel rims with no tires (along with the alloys installed on the car) 1 Fuel filter, not installed OEM Honda braOEM Honda floor mats (in addition to the ones pictured. OEMs are in decent condition.) The bad: We recently spent quite a bit getting the car starting and idling right again. The engine cold and hot starts well, and idles smoothly. It still has some trouble warm starting, but will do so. It moves fast and strong, shifts well, and the clutch still feels like it is gripping well. While working on the above, it was noticed that the crank shaft pulley is wobbling. About two and a half years ago the bolt that holds the pulley to the shaft broke. The Honda dealer said they had never seen that before. Luckily they were able to extract the bolt from the crankshaft and reattach the pulley for just a few hours labor. It seems it is working loose again, now. This could be any number of things ranging from something as severe as the crankshaft being damaged where it keys into the pulley, or just the pulley or bolt being damaged or loose. The car has a very slow brake line leak. The dealer noted this, we had never noticed when driving the car. It still brakes strong. The windshield has a crack running all the way across the bottom, it is not in most people's line of sight. The exterior has numerous rust spots. It is a Michigan car. As with most Honda's from this era, the rear wheel wells are going. The hood isn't terrible, but has a some spots. Lastly the hole on the passenger side where the spoiler mounts is rusting. The engine consumes some oil. Around 1 quart every 1,000 miles. This is not all that uncommon for this era of Honda engine. Again the car starts and runs, but I would not recommend driving more than a few miles before getting the crank pulley issue fixed. I would suggest a short test drive, and then trailering the car home. If you have additional questions, please e-mail. deloreandmcxii@gmail.com . I will provide my phone number via e-mail, but do not want it on the listing. If you're local, we can also arrange a test drive.
