Here is your rare opportunity to own an ultra low mileage and absolutely original red C3 Corvette. 1978-1982 are fascinating years in Corvette’s design evolution, being the last model years of C3 “Sting Ray” stunning shark design originating in 1968 and first with the aerodynamic wraparound rear window which icons the Corvette till today. In 1981-1982 the Stingray design received integrated aerodynamic spoilers, bringing even more drama to the original shark shape. These Corvettes also received great improvements to the rear suspension and engine management. This 1981 C3 is the real deal “Little Red Corvette” as Prince’s period song. Its original color combination is Red (code 75) Exterior and matching Red leather interior. It is pretty much a fully loaded factory car- tinted glass T-tops, factory AC (working), power windows, tilt-telescopic steering column, and sport mirrors. It has the optional chrome mount for the T top rack in the back It runs and drives smoothly.The Corvette was painted in a slightly different shade of red by a previous owner and the paint needs some attention. As you can see in the photos, it peels off in a few small spots, but the rest still shines beautifully. From a few feet it looks stunning. The original interior is generally great. It needs some tightening up for the original carpets and there is a tear in one of the seats a few inches long but it wouldn’t take much to bring the interior to show condition. One of the glass T-tops has a hairline crack (pictured). It doesn’t leak and not visible from most exterior angles.I'm not a mechanic and it was not tested by one, it was stored unused in car collections for years, but from my experience It drives as well as its low mileage suggests. It is being sold AS-IS with no warranty but you are wellcome to come and check it before winning the auction.
