Up for auction is a 1966 Mercury Colony Park station wagon. It has a 390 ci. motor with an automatic transmission, and a Ford 9" rearend. This is a second owner car with a clear Missouri title dating from 1972! This car has not been on the road for about three years and has a variety of issues. I was told to get it running would require the carb being rebuilt, and possibly the gas tank getting cleaned out. I was also told the transmission that is in the car does not go into reverse. Although I do have two additional transmissions for the car that I will give to the buyer to use for either parts or replacement; I am not sure of their internal condition. The interior is in decent shape, and all the glass is good. The car has typical body rust for a car of it's age, from the midwest, however the most serious damage that needs to be addressed is the frame rails below the front doors on each side; which are rusted away in about a 1' section. The rest of the frame looks solid, just for some reason it rusted out there. But from what I hear about classic Fords, alot of them develope the same problem. You definately wouldn't want to use this car for a demo derby for that reason alone! Even if the frame damage is too much to try and fix, I figure this car still has a lot of great parts for somebody restoring a 1965-67 full sized Merc. Thank You for looking!
