Old farm truck saved from the scrapper. Aquired at auction. Was a true basket case, but I put a ton of money and time into her and she still is VERY rough. All original with no putty in her at all. The fenders and doors can be hammered out, all original heavy Detroit steel. The cab is toast. Severe rust on the entire bottom side. Even the firewall, cowl, and kick panels are rusted through. This was the bottom of the line, least expensive 3/4 ton truck offered by GM at the time. 250 cid. 4 spd, granny low first gear. Manual steering and manual 4 wheel drum brakes. Has newer distributor with the coil in the cap. Replaced the dry rotten cracked steering wheel with one out of a 67. Other than that she's bone stock. New or rebuilt parts include: Windshield, front brake drums, all brake shoes, spring kits, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, master cylinder, and grease seals. Waterpump, fuel pump, carburator, alternator, voltage regulator, battery cables, and complete exhaust system. Passed Missouri safety inspection last June. Tires are Goodyear Wrangler/ATD 10 ply rated radials with more than half their life left, size 265/75/16 I also have the owners manual and some old notes and maps etc. from the previous owners. Engine overhauled at 95k in feb. 2001. New shocks, also at 95k in march 2001. The title that I got from the auction house shows the truck had 101k miles on it in may 2006. My son and I have been using it to haul stuff (picture of truck with full cord of hedge) or as a backup vehicle, and she always starts and runs great although a little cold natured.
