Vehicle Detail

Here is your chance to own a #s matching, restorable, 1965 GTO. When will you ever get a chance like this again. Bid to own, because this is a rare find. This car was a barn find that has been cleaned up and made presentable. Feel free to ask any question. We have additional pics available upon request. Here's the facts: 1965 Pontiac GTO, V8 (389 WT code, 335HP, 431 Torgue, 4 Barrel), 4-Speed, Buckets, Console, 10 bolt rear end (WB code), 2dr HT, Assembled in Kansas City, MO, serial # 114943. Story: Here is an original 1965 GTO. I grew up less than 2 miles from the 1 and only owner. It was parked around 1982 under a roof behind an old barn. It was never seriously wrecked, but does have it's share of dents and rust. It appears to have been straightened up and painted once in it's live time. It has vintage SW ignition on it, so it may have been raced in it's day, who wouldn't!! The motor, transmission and rear end appear to be original. The motor turns over at the turn of the key and will occasionally hit on it's 5 spark plugs that still have wires attached to them. The 4-speed transmission and shift linkage is dissassembled. 95% of the transmission parts are present, probably tore down for a rebuild, but never reassembled. All parts seem to be usuable. The rear end is a single track, 10 bolt. The bucket seats and console are in the car. The windshield is broken, but all other glass is good. The dash is complete and in descent shape. The driver's front floor pan is weak, but 90% intact. The rest of the floor is usable. The trunk could use the center pan replaced. Needs quarter panels and outer wheel houses. The frame is very solid, only surface rust, no signs of rust thru. The original air cleaner top is missing, but the lower is included. The rest of the engine, carb, heads, intake, and block are all original. 3 of the 4 headlights are T3. We have the original trunk lid that will go with the new owner. The trunk lid on the car is off a 65 Tempest that we painted the factory color of the car. Both trunk lids are made identical. Feel free to call with any questions: 573-631-3922. I took a short video of the motor turning over on my i-phone, I can send it per request. As long as payment is made, we can hold the car for up to 1 month to allow time for transport arrangements.
