Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1967 Mustang Fastback project. This car came with factory with a 6 cylinder motor and an automatic transmission. It came with the factory deluxe interior package with the center console and factory deluxe exterior trim package with the rare louvred tail light panels, rocker trim and hood mounted turn signals. This car was owned by the previous owner for over 20 years. He drove it for a good while and sometime in the 90’s decided to park it in his basement and build the car of his dreams. As solid as it is, I could not pass up buying this Mustang. I have too many projects and plan on thinning the herd, so I’m putting this one up to a good home. SEE MY PHOTOBUCKET LINK FOR LOTS OF DETAILED PICTURES: http://s621.photobucket.com/albums/tt297/jtmkustoms/1967%20Mustang%20Fastback/?albumview=slideshow Body: The body on this car is in exceptionally solid condition. It only needs very minor repairs to be ready for paint. The car has no major accident damage that I can tell, the frame rails are not bent or damaged. The car has the original front fender aprons with the matching VIN’s on either side. Every piece on this body is solid and rust free with the exception of a little bit of rust on the taillight panel that is hidden by an original set of louvered taillight panel trim. These areas could be easily repaired and will not need an installation of a new taillight panel. The front fenders, door skins and inner door structures, inner and outer rockers, deck lid, trunk weather strip lip, rear frame rails, the sail panel vents, side louvers, cowl and firewall, roof panel, around the front and back glass, and the trunk drop-off’s are all incredibly solid. The quarter panels are original to the car and are in good shape. On the passenger side quarter panel there is an area that has had an amateur repair job above the wheel well, it appears to be a parking lot incident. The damage did not extend into the door jamb area, the taillight panel, the trunk weather strip lip or the sail panel. This area could easily be pulled and straightened out without replacing the quarter panel. Over all this car is a perfect starting point for any direction you wish to take your build in. The previous owner has owned the car for over 20 years. The car was running and driving when he got it, then he decided to park the car in his basement and build the car of his dreams. He removed the original 6 cylinder motor and automatic transmission and disassembled the car for restoration. In the mid 90’s he sent the car to a professional body shop and had the floor pans replaced, the job is so well done that you can barely tell the floor pans aren‘t original. The previous owner stripped the body and sprayed it with a blue base. This wasn’t intended to be the finished paint color, but was sprayed blue for a conceptual idea. Interior: I have front seats bucket seats, the original center console, and all of the original rear fold-down seat (which is not reproduced aftermarket) and the rear trim panels. The dash is all original, the original instrument clusters are intact and the dash has not been cut or modified. The original head liner is not present, but all of the original headliner bows are in place. The factory optioned center console is still in place in the car. Trim and Glass: All of the factory glass is still present in the car. It is in good driver quality condition. The window regulators are present. The original rear glass has the 67 only style line that ran down the middle of the back glass that correlates with the subtle ridge in the roof and the deck lid. I have 90% of the trim that goes with the car. I am missing the front and rear bumper, both of the exterior sail panel louvers, and the gas tank. Drive Trane: I do not have a motor or transmission for this car. The car is a factory power steering car. At some point in time the previous owner has upgraded from a 4 lug to a 5 lug setup. All of the stock suspension components are in place. I believe the car still retains a Ford 8 inch rear end. GOOD LUCK BIDDING AND THANKS FOR TAKING A LOOK!!! I KNOW HOW HARD IT CAN BE BUYING A CAR SIGHT UNSEEEN. I HAVE GONE TO GREAT LENGHTS TO TAKE AS MANY PICTURES AS POSSIBLE TO TRY TO SHOW THE VEHICLE'S TRUE CONDITION, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES AT THE PHOTOBUCKET LINK. I AM AN HONEST SELLER WITH 100% FEEDBACK AND TAKE THIS AUCTION SERIOUSLY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE AND DON'T HESITATE TO MESSAGE ME OR CALL ME AT 678-758-1557. THANKS! JT TITLE: Georgia is a non-title state for vehicles older than 1986 & didn't even start issuing titles for new cars at all until 1961. Therefore this 1967 Mustang is exempt from title here & has no title. However, if you live in a state which requires a vehicle of this year to be titled, I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE PAPERWORK YOU NEED TO GET YOUR TITLE QUICKLY & EASILY. This means the winning bidder will get a T-7 bill of sale, a state VIN inspection certificate & an official letter from the state of GA confirming that this vehicle is exempt from title in this state. This paperwork will allow you to register the vehicle if you live in a non-title state such as Georgia. This paperwork will also automatically transfer into an actual title if you live in a state which requires a title on a vehicle of this year. I know some of you may be thinking that your tag office is hard to deal with & they just will not issue you a title if you don't have a title from the seller. I understand your hesitation but please believe me when I tell you... they have absolutely no choice but to issue you a title on this vehicle. Every County in every State is governed by the rules of the United States Department Of Transportation. The law says that if a vehicle is brought from a non-title state into a title requiring state & there is valid paperwork from the non-title state... the title requiring state MUST issue a clean, clear, title for that vehicle in the new state. It's the law & no matter how hard to deal with your tag office may be, they WILL issue you a title. There are several states which don't require titles on older vehicles. If there wasn't a unified law to cover these vehicles nationwide, people who moved from a non-title state to a new state may very well find that their very valuable classic automobiles couldn't be tagged in the their new home state, that is not the case. No one has had any trouble obtaining their title with the information I provide. You won't either. It is as easy as a regular transfer of ownership. BIDDING: Please only bid what you are prepared to pay for this vehicle.
