Vehicle Detail

Im relisting due to no payment or contact from the winning bidder since the end of the auction. This is a 63 impala that I aquired from my 93 yr old late great uncle last fall. A month ago the car was in a barn since early 80s, didnt do much to preserve it, and is in pretty bad shape but seems to be for the most part complete. What little I could see of the frame seemed good, saw no holes. It seemed ridgid when I hauled it to our farm recently. I can get more pictures if needed as well. The motor is either a 283 or 327 with a 2 brl carb. I have a good title for the car last issued in 1971, that states the color as black. The top latches seem in good shape. The floors are in very bad shape. If you have any doubts, go ahead and assume the worst. I dont feel like arguing with anyone about the condition. This car is for sale locally so auction could end at anytime. The car is AS-IS where is. Plan on coming to pick it up. Cash is the only payment I will accept for the car. Its located in southeast Iowa. Call if interested, between 4 and 8pm central time. 641-777-2259. My family runs a car crushing business so dont bother with junk price offers. Contact me by messege or phone if you want your bid to be valid. Best guess of odometer is 104,298 miles. I spoke with the previous owner who sold it to my great uncle. He believed the car to be all original drivetrain, and said it was in good shape when parked. The floors do not exist now. The hood wont come up quite enough for me to do much under there. Tried to turn the crank pully but no luck. No belts on it to help get a grip. I also saw for sure the column shifter and bench seat. On Feb-19-12 at 17:48:42 PST, seller added the following information: IF YOU DONT CONTACT ME TO SHOW YOUR LEVEL OF INTEREST IN THE CAR THEN YOUR BIDS MEAN NOTHING. READ THE DETAILS!!! On Feb-20-12 at 13:37:10 PST, seller added the following information: A potential buyer asked if the doors function and I tried them today. They worked good opening and closing properly more than a couple times.
