I am pleased to offer for sale my 1968 Shelby GT 500 Ford Mustang for sale! This car is an absolute stunner! Highland Green Metallic with the premium black interior. This car was built on 01/01/1968 at the Metuchen Ford Facility. It was the 34,555 Mustang built as a 1968 Model and has a Shelby Number of 1002. It is one of 28 Shelby GT 500's with the same options of: C-6 Automatic Transmission, 3.50 Standard rear axles, Black knitted decor bucket seats, the extra cooling package, Visibility Group, Wheel Lip Moldings, Sport Deck Rear seat, Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, Tilt steering wheel, AM radio, Competition Handling Package, Integral Roll Bar with Shoulder Harness's, Oil and Amp Gauges, Interior Decor Group, Tachometer + trip odometer, and the remote control outside rear view mirror. It was originally sold by Yates-Stevens Ford in Kirkwood, Missouri. I am the third owner. I have the Delux Marti Report framed for the next owner. This car is listed in all of the Shelby Registries. I have a copy of the title as sold to me listing the last sale before my possession of 09/08/1975. I have taken ownership on 11/18/2008. The Ford VIN is legible and present under the Shelby Serial Number. I have the original engine completely rebuilt on a pallet with the OEM Distributor rebuilt. It has a non-original 428 PI in the car now as the original block was out to be rebuilt with all shelby parts: Intake, Heads, internals, balancer, water pump, all date correct for this car!!!! The two engines together cost $35,000 as they stand in any market! I have the original owners manual, and a 1968 GT 500 Dealers parts book to go with the car.
