First of all, thank you for viewing my auction. This is a REAL Saleen Cobra...not a clone. One of 12 made and the only one with all options. 1999 was the 15th anniversary of Saleen and the 35th anniversary of the Mustang. If kept in this condition, this car will go up in value and is investment quality. Please take the time to allow the 200+ detailed photos to load of the whole car, including underside, it is worth the wait. I am listing this Saleen Mustang Cobra convertible, as part of my own private collection. I own a Mustang shop that has been in business for 18 years and am very particular with these cars and much pickier than anyone I know. I have 100% positive feedback and am both a PS and TRS on ebay which less than 2% of sellers here are, so have no worries. All work professionally done and car is immaculate. Has only been adult driven since new and have always been impeccably taken care of and garaged. Fully loaded and show quality from top to bottom. No dings or dents and never any rust or accidents. No road rash on front bumper, not even the lower edge is scraped!! Oil has been changed every 3K miles or 6 months with Mobil 1 synthetic. All oil changes have been Mobil 1 synthetic since new. Underside, rockers, and inside of wheels detailed at least once a month as is the exterior and interior. Carpets have never been shampooed and still look like new. Original Saleen floor mats have always been covered when car is driven. Car is also waxed at least once a month and always garaged, except when at events, but covered when possible. This car is impeccable for the price. Anything that did not work properly has always been rebuilt or replaced. Ice cold A/C. Car does not overheat even in 120 degree weather. I let the car idle for 45 minutes in 120 degree heat this summer and it did not get 1/2 way on the temperature gauge. I then drove it to make sure there were no issues, or pinging...no problems. Car is meant to be driven and enjoyed. Never raced or abused. 2 owner car since new. Autocheck shows it as having 4 owners as the original owner had it registered when new to save on sales taxes to his Colorado address then transferred it to his home in CA in 2002. He kept the car until 2005 and sold it with 28K miles to the person I got it from. He had the car registered in San Dimas, CA, then moved to Escondido, CA and transferred the title to his new address. Each time a car is transferred, it shows up as a new owner on Autocheck. So this is a 2 owner car, and always garaged and taken care of. No other Saleen on here has a HIGH 78 score for Autocheck!! 1 of 12 originally built Saleen Cobra convertibles in 99. Of the 12 this is the only one with all available options: leather Saleen/Recaro seats, lightweight hood, chrome wheels, Saleen pedals, Speedster package (roll bar with light and hard tonneau cover), 13'' Saleen/Alcon brakes, and carbon fiber interior accents. Car is one of 2 Saleen Cobras that left Saleen with a supercharger before delivery. THIS CAR WAS $73K NEW!! Car is #354 of the 418 total Saleens built in 1999. This is a real Saleen and in the registry. You are better off getting one of these cars that has been driven and properly maintained than one with super low miles that has not been properly stored or has dried up seals. Nothing leaks or seaps on this car. Compression is with in 3% on every cylinder. Gets 25+ MPG on the freeway!! Front tires have less than 100 miles and are smooth, factory Saleen size 18" and rears have around 5K miles and are also the same brand but wider. Original Saleen Speedline chrome wheels and caps. None are curbed or bent and chrome is very good but not perfect (wheels have some spots that aren't as shiny) with original Saleen lettering and caps, brakes front and rear are new, including rotors and pads all around, rotors and calipers are painted high temp satin black. Original Saleen/Borla 2.5" stainless catback, sounds great with Magnaflow X-pipe and high flow cats. Never been smoked in, no stains, still smells new. High end sound system with flip up touch screen. Stock Mach 460 cassette and CD player come with the car too. No check engine light. All interior functions and lights work as new.Front and rear seats are original black leather Saleen/ Recaro and were a very rare option (almost $4K). Driver's side is 4 way power and works smoothly and passenger's side is manual. Both sides have adjustable inflatable lumbar and headrests that tilt forwards and backwards as well as up and down. There are pullouts on bottom for taller drivers.VERY comfortable and not the cheap Recaro look of the later Saleens, where Saleen installed Recaro style upholstery on stock Ford seat frames. You sit in these seats not on them, and they hold you in place very well in the corners. No rips or tears and are still soft and supple. Just normal wrinkles from use. Still has that new car leather smell inside Car is VERY clean top to bottom, Original 17" spare tire (that clears big brakes), jack, tire iron, and holdown hardware all intact. All power options work perfect including cruise control, top, all windows, mirrors, truck release, and locks. Has brand new original key fob that locks and unlocks doors, has panic button, and pops truck. Have original owners manuals and cases and several other documents. All signals and lights are clear and work perfect. New rare 3rd brake light with all 35 LED lights working perfect.  This car looks and drives like a 5K mile car, It is that nice. Even a 5K mile car will not look, run and drive like this one. Car was dissassembled and re-done where needed to be as perfect as possible...hood, front/rear bumpers and rockers were removed, stripped, primed 3X, block sanded to perfection, and repainted with 4 coats of base and 4 coats of clear with flex agent, by my painter that does $100K+ restorations, then all paint was color sanded and buffed panel by panel. Saleen did not use flex agent in the primers or paints, so any other one you see will have cracks in the paint on the bumpers and rockers. This one does not! It all matches perfect, and you can not tell anything has been painted. No road rash. No dents, scratches, or dings ever. Over $4K spent just on top quality painting materials. No expense spared. You will not find a nicer paint job on a Mustang. No mask lines, overspray, fish eyes, dirt, runs, orange peel, etc. Again, please look at the 200+ pictures of the car in different lights and look at all the reflections and body lines!! I have owned over 100 Cobras, Cobra R's, Saleen's and Fox bodies and am VERY familiar with these cars!! I know what to look at and what they are and were from new. Every correct clip, nut, bolt, rivet, plug, sticker, rubber bumpers, etc is correct on this car!! Car is available for inspection and can be driven or shipped anywhere. I am happy to help with export if you live in another country Never abused, road raced, or drag raced. Very fast and reliable with no issues. Handles amazing with the IRS and Maximum Motorsports adjustable coilovers on Bilstein shocks and struts and adjustable camber/caster plates with sperical bearing. Coilovers are fully adjustable to lower or raise the car 3" either way!! I have it set at medium height so that nothing scrapes. Car also has Kenny Brown subframe connectors professionally welded in and painted, and rear end brace. Ask any Saleen owner that still has the original c/c plates and Racecraft springs. The tires wear unevenly, the cars ride like a buckboard, and they track all over the road. This suspension package is a huge improvement over the original. It rides like a Mercedes, tracks down the road perfectly, and handles like it is on rails. Never runs hot even in 120 degree desert heat. Never pings on 91 octane gas. Very smooth, fast, reliable, and sounds fantastic!! New 11" performance clutch and pressure plate with resurfaced flywheel done 2K miles ago, very smooth transmission with no grinds, pop outs, or shudders. Original Saleen shifter and carbon fiber Momo shift knob as it left Saleen. No ticking throw out bearing!! 550+ HP with very safe, reliable tune. Air to air intercooler. 42lb injectors, 90mm mass air, 255 LPH fuel pump. Car is very easy to drive!! All original Saleen ground effects, wheels, wing, etc. No body panel has ever been damaged or replaced. Never driven in bad weather. Car drives smooth and tracks down the road perfectly. Nicest driving Saleen you will ever drive. Not bone jarring like the others. No wind noise with top up. The underside is as clean as the the rest of the car. The pictures speak for themselves. This is a beautiful car and PERFECTLY balanced as far as looks, safety, economy, handling, braking, comfort, reliability, sound, and performance!! You can drive this car anywhere with no issues and it turns heads where ever you go. This is the most balanced car you will ever drive. You will not find a nicer one for the money. These cars are very hard to find. Only 12 of the 418 Saleens were built off the Cobra chassis by Saleen in 1999. The others were based off the regular GT which did not have the all aluminum, hand built and signed DOHC 32 valve 4.6 engine and Independant Rear Suspension (IRS). This car was over $73K new!! CA car, not a car stored in humid salty air like the others out there either that do not have any underside photos. This is why I took as many pictures as I did, including the underside, so you can see how clean this car is everywhere. Car also has brand new brakes (rotors and pads), Bilstein shocks and struts, Maximum Motorsports camber/caster plates with spherical bearing, adjustable coil overs, alignment, bump steer kit, spark plugs, belt, fuel filter, and fluids. All exterior trim was removed and refinished. New NOS Ford cowl panel plastic and windshield wiper arms. New NOS Saleen windshield, bumper #, and SCCA championship decals. Battery is a yellow top Optima sealed gel. Car starts the first time, every time. All suspension is tight and car tracks down the road better than it ever did new. Car has been impeccably maintained and all services have always been done before needed. Nothing overlooked. Any questions, please message me and I will respond promptly. This Mustang runs and drives excellent and has never been raced or abused. There are no odors, rattles, or odd noises when driving. You can drive this car anywhere. Look at some of the 60's Shelby's that are still bringing $200K+ in this economy at auctions such as Mecum, Barrett Jackson, and Russo & Steel. This will be one of those cars in years to come. Car is registered thru Oct, 2012 so there are no back fees due if you are in CA. Car passes smog with no problems here in CA and we are the strictest state. I have specialty car insurance on it with the same company I have all my 18 cars with, with an agreed replacement value of $45K (per exotic car appraiser who came up with the figure after spending over 1 hour looking over the car and researching it) and it is $350 per year for full coverage. I also have my 650+HP Kleemann Stage 4 E55 AMG Mercedes listed on ebay, a red Saleen Cobra coupe, a mint 5.0 vert, and soon my 2010 Shelby GT500 with 763RWHP that I bought new.
