1968 vw bus double cab, first year of the bay window bus double cab work truck, daily driver bus that would make a great restoration project. I drive this truck everyday to and from my shop, back and forth to LA once a week, (100+miles), and have taken it to bus show in Arizona with no problems. It is not mechanically perfect, but it is running and driving, single port 1600 motor with doghouse fan shroud, leaks oil from pushrod tubes, original transmission shifts fine, does not pop out of any gears, brakes work fine but I have never replaced any components, turn signals and lights work, parking lights, headlights, brake, etc, but wiper motor works when it wants to. would make a great basis for restoration or use as a work truck like I do. car is currently registered and up to date in california, clear title in my name, no back fees, liens, or other issues. Body has some rust, outer rocker under cargo door, and front floor wedges are the worst and need repair, will include Klassicfab cargo door rocker in sale. also long rocker on driver side has some rust areas removed and will include long rocker panel as well new, chassis is solid, frame rails , cross member, rear floor under back seat, and bed are solid as well, gates are decent but have rust around hinges, rear gate is bent the worst , but all gates, hinges, and latches are functioning just fine. suspesnsion and steering is good, , some play in steering box, but new tie rod ends, drag link , and near new tires on stock 14 inch rims, tracks straight and rides smooth, i cruise at 65+ interior has new seats pads and covers on front seats, original upholstery and pad on rear seat in good shape, and rear seat pedestal is original and present as well.truck bed is rust free, as is rear floor, and area under rear seat storage floor has lap belts in front and rear seats. Drive it while you fix it, drive it and dont fix it, or do a full resto on it and sell it for big money, whatever you please, gladly assist with overseas shipping.please ask any and all questions, all inquires welcome, serious or otherwise.
