1970 Karmann Ghia Coupe - 79,821 original miles and in excellent condition. This is a fun car to drive. It runs great, looks great, and gets compliments wherever it goes. Wheels that say: Even though I left my vintage Ray-Bans at home, I'm still the smartest, most interesting, most well-adjusted person at the party!! Wheels that tell the opposite sex: Don't worry, I don't come with a lot of baggage ('cause it won't fit in the trunk). Low starting bid and buy it now price. Chump change, in fact, considering the crowd you'll soon be running with! James Dean! Marilyn! Paul Newman! Betty White! (well, maybe not Betty White) ...with them following, and you in the lead!The engine, exterior and interior are in very good condition, but with some flaws that come with age: front bumper needs re-chroming, there are cracks in the dashboard, and the doors don't seal perfectly. The paint is starting to show some worn spots and patina, but at age 42, aren't we all... No Botox or silicone, though - body's original - those curves will be all yours.Within the last year, it has had a complete tuneup, new shocks, new battery, replaced muffler and tailpipe, replaced starter motor , replaced rear break cylinders, replaced brake light switches, replaced seat belts, and five new radial tires. Gauges are all operational, except for original clock. At age 42, though, we're all trying to slow the clock down, aren't we??Per photos, this car lives in sunny, dry, Arizona and has its own roomy space in the garage. It was originally a California car. Hate to give it up, but family health issues come first. This car was the object of some fast, furious, heated bidding recently, but the winner, admittedly blinded by the allure of the car, ended up having some so-called liquidity issues. Probably had to do with the exchange rate on Swiss Francs. Unfortunately, the transaction did not fit into the Too Big to Fail category, so we're back out for recapitalization, so to speak...Thanks for bidding!!
