We love this car!!! Our Jetta has been good to us, but our family outgrew it and we have to let it go. It gets great gas mileage, is fun to drive, and even has a sunroof. We are the second owner of this car; we bought it in 2006 from a guy in Michigan who drove mostly highway miles in non-salted areas. We have had it in Chicago for four years, so it has some scuffs and scratches on the bumpers and paint, and a couple of small rust bubbles that were sanded and re-painted before they got too bad. We put an entirely new braking system on the car a little over a year ago, a new clutch three years ago, and we've done regular maintenance / oil changes. Nobody has ever smoked in this car that we are aware of. There are a few minor issues that you should be aware of before bidding. None of these will effect the way the car drives or runs, but since it's an auction, we want bidders to be fully aware of the car's quirks. The sunroof leaked three years ago and soaked the carpet on the driver's side front and rear. We had it replaced, so there is a seam in the middle of the rear floorboard carpet just behind the center console. Also, the check engine light is on because the glow plugs are not the original ones, so the car's computer thinks something is wrong. We've had it checked out and nothing is wrong with them. Last, the light that tells you to check the brake pads is on because the mechanic installed non OEM brake pads, but as I said before, the entire brake system was replaced a couple of years ago and it's in good shape.
