Unrestored, unmolested clean 3.0CS. Voted one of the 50 most beautiful cars of all time. These E9 coupes have consistently been climbing in value, we should have all bought them years ago! Wonderful original CS coupe in one of the most desirable colors,Fjord Blue. This was originally sold in Kansas, then migrated to the west coast around 1978. I bought it from a guy in California, and have been driving it occasionally here in Florida while my CSL was being restored. This example has been converted to twin downdraft Weber carbs and 5 speed gearbox. I had Redline BMW go over the car after I purchased in 2008, and they did about $2500 in repairs to take care of all outstanding issues. The motor starts easily,idles and runs smoothly, and everything on the car works as it should. Tires are recent michelins. I can not see any evidence of any accident, and the body is very rust-free considering this appears to be unrestored. It appears all of the body has been repainted at some point. I'm guessing bumpers were rechromed, because they are in really excellent condition. Overall, all the trim is in excellent condition. The seats were reupholstered at some point, looks like original quality. New carpet, original quality and color by GAHH. Overall interior is in excellent condition, but the wood could be refinished, and there are some small dash cracks. Mileage indicates 89811, I have no idea if this is accurate, but have no reason to doubt it.In summary, this is an excellent driver and has the basis for a strong restoration. Nothing needs to be done to this car immediately, and it could be brought to a fairly high level without a full blown restoration. I know of nothing the car needs mechanically. You know these don't come along often. Enjoy it right now and watch it appreciate as you have fun! This car is re-listed due to non-payment. This is a bargain at $19995!
