Up for sale is a 1986 CR250R that is not running. I was given the bike about three months ago so I do not know much about the history since it was a hand me down. I do know it is NOT running. The case half that holds the water pump has electrolysis to the point that coolant entered the oil system. I think that happened from sitting around for many years. Last off highway registration date is 1999. Things I do know about it are. It has good compression and is not bound up. The brakes seem fair and have not leaked all over the place. The forks need to be rebuilt, the tires look good and hold air but I would not trust them. The kick starter and water pump cover as well as the side intake (See pictures) is missing. The bike seems pretty straight otherwise, and the frame seems to be in good condition and I believe it is all original. Some case bolts are missing, though I have most of them. (Someone was in there before me, and I pulled the cover because I had a feeling water got in there.) Again this is a NON RUNNING BIKE up for auction for parts or restoration. It will be a labor of love, but I know once it is running it will be a real screamer. Local pick up only. I WILL NOT SHIP THE BIKE. So you have to send someone to come and get it, or pick it up yourself.
