Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is my 2005 MINI Cooper S. As you can see from the pictures, it is Pepper White/Black with a Black Leather Interior. It is well optioned and is really a great car. My guess is that this will be just another car that one day I will regret parting with, but I recently became unemployed and as a result I am doing some things I don’t necessarily want to do. About the car… Exterior As stated before, it is Pepper White/Black which was exactly the color combination I was looking for. I just think white is timeless. To the best of my knowledge, the car was never involved in any accidents. The bonnet was resprayed before I took delivery of the car in September of 2011. There were a lot of chips in the paint I was told and repainting was the best option. The sheet metal is very good as part of the recon work included paintless dent removal (PDR). The paint is glossy, and the 17” 2 piece wheels are in great shape. No curb rash. My only knocks on the exterior would be the S decal on the passenger side is partially missing. I planned to either paint or replace that, but just haven’t yet. Also, the headlight lenses are slightly chipped from highway driving I suppose. Overall the exterior is in great condition, I just want to be as honest and descriptive as possible. Interior Inside you will find a Black Leather interior in very good condition. There are very slight wear marks on the driver’s seat as you would expect on a car with this mileage, but there are no tears or holes. Everything works as it should, windows, cruise control, radio, sunroof, everything. Something you will find inside that really drew me to this particular car is the Chrono Pack, which moves the speedo behind the steering wheel and next to the tach. That leaves more real estate on the dash for additional gauges. Also, I was impressed that all the toggle switches are present with this car being optioned with a rear fog light. Almost any other MINI you see has this switch blanked out and it just looks like something is missing (I guess because there is). There are some slight scratches in the paint on the dash panel on the passenger’s side. Again, nothing major; just full disclosure. The CD player works as it should and has Sirius capability, though I never activated that service. I did however add a factory MINI Aux jack so I could play my iPhone through the factory Harmon Kardon stereo which was a nice upgrade for me. Mechanical One of the best features of this car is the John Cooper Works upgrade which was a dealer installed option and brings the specs on this car up to 210 HP. The car runs like a top and is simply a joy to drive. It feels like a street legal go cart and it’s hard not to smile while driving it. Good times! Overall, this is really a great car and if you are looking for a MINI Cooper S I think you are going to have a really hard time finding a better example. You can find cars with less miles and you’ll pay more too. I think my asking price is really a great value. I do currently have a loan on the car and my asking price is exactly what my payoff is. I really don’t want to sell this car, but with my employment situation, I am simply looking to get out from under this payment. If you are shopping for a Cooper S, you need to see this car in person. Please feel free to email any questions and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks for looking!
