Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1979 Ford Bronco with the chromatic stripes. This Bronco has been a real pleasure to own and drive with hopes of restoring her, time and other projects have gotten in the way and I would rather see her go to someone who will bring her back to her former glory than see her sit. I have owned this truck for 4 years or so and when I bought her she hadnt been registered or driven since 2001 I believe. The Bronco is basically bone stock, has the 400ci. engine, C6 tranny, dana 44 front and 9 inch rear (3.50 gears, and factory limited slip rear) has tilt steering which works great, A/C (needs charged), cruise control which works well, has the factory CB radio which works (but the MIC is pretty beat up) and factory tow hooks up front. She has the red interior, cloth and vynil low back bucket seats up front (they need to be redone but I am pretty sure you can get new factory looking threads for them at a company called SMS auto fabrics) the carpet is faded and could use replacing and the rear panels have some warping but are in decent shape. Has a newer optima battery and alternator as well as a newer rear driveline. She is a great driving truck, goes straight down the road and has plenty of power. The 4 wheel drive works great whether youre going slow or cruising at 45. A great driver as is, but could definitely use some restoring. The tailgate has some rust issues but works and functions perfectly as does the rear window. I think I can get a good rust free tailgate shell to go with the deal if wanted. There is small but fixable rust in both door jams but you can buy the repair pieces through LMC, cut the rust out and weld the new parts back in. Drivers side canopy glass has a bb gun shot in it. Just this winter the exhaust donut blew between the manifold and pipe so she has an exhaust leak on the passenger side of her. I bought the new donut, just havent had time to fix it. Like i said, I bought this truck for a restoration project and feel she is more than worth restoring, I used her mostly as my winter time driving truck to work and back (60 miles round trip) and she never once left me on the side of the road, we also would use her for summer time cruising up in the woods and to the beach with the top off. She just doesnt get driven much and is at the end of my priority list. I tried listing anything and everything I could think of about this truck, feel free to ask and and every question before bidding ends. This vehicle will be sold AS IS with no warranty. A 500 dollar deposit will be required 48 hours after bidding has ended. Will not accept monthly instalment payments, full purchase price of vehicle must be paid within 7 days of auction ending unless otherwise discussed. Buyer will be responsible for pickup of this vehicle and transportation. As a side note on things I previously forgot to mention, I have a buddy who is in the works of reproducing the stripe kit and they are almost done. I can put you in touch with him if need be so that when the kits are reproduced to satisfactory condition, if you would like to purchase a new stripe kit seperately, to do a complete restoration of truck.
