Up for sale is a 1978 Dodge Power Wagon 3/4 ton pickup with 7.5 foot Fisher snowplow and a Meyers mini salt spreader. It is used as a on property vehicle for a small school. We have been using it since 2006. It is now time to upgrade. The truck runs and plows good. Maintenance work was done as needed to keep it reliable. It has front disk brakes and rear drums. The suspension in the front has a added leaf spring to keep it up with the weight of the snowplow. The snowplow is a Fisher conventional with underhood hydraulics has a few small leaks but runs good. The plow was painted within the last few years and is not rotted out anywhere except a small spot on the snowfoil. The cutting edge bas plenty of wear left. The Body is not in good shape as evidenced by the pictures, Cab corners, floor pans, rocker arms and bed are rusted out pretty bad. The floor has sheet metal added to support it. The seats are leather out of a Chevy vehicle retrofitted to this one. The salt spreader works good but only on high since there is only a on off not a variable speed controller in the cab. 4 wheel drive works good, it can be either awd or 4 hi and 4 lo. The transmission is an automatic, rebuilt since we had it after the reverse went out. The engine is a 360 Work done on that is the rear main seal since it was leaking pretty bad. No smoke. It has carburetor so it does need to warm up in the winter before plowing. The exhaust has some leaks. The odometer reads 57564, Im guessing it is 157564 but the title has exempt in the mileage slot because of the age. The frame has as rotten spot by the gas tank other than that scaly rust. Any ther questions just ask. The truck is in good mechanical shape and is ready to plow snow. The only times it was taken out on the road was to gas it up at the local gas station which round trip is only 5 miles. Vehicle is not roadworthy and would need serious rust work to make it so. The title is clear and in the schools name. The tires in the pictures will be placed on the vehicle prior to end of sale. They are virtually brand new and will replace the dry rotted ones currently on the truck. The truck can be delivered locally within a 50 mile radius for 2.00 a mile if arrangements are made ahead of time. The truck can be seen and driven locally at pretty much any time just send a message to setup a time.
