Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a really solid 1967 Mercury Cyclone GT. This car is still titled in the original owners name who passed away in 2010. I have a death certificate, so title work should be no problem. This car has not been on the road since 1983. I was told that the original owner was making arrangements to bring this car back to life, and than he got sick. The car is Maroon Metallic and the color code as seen on the door trim tag is "x". The body code is" 63h "which is a 2 door Fastback GT. The trans code is "U" with a C-6 automatic and the axle code is "4" and that is a 9 inch posi rear with a 3:50 ratio. This car is also equipped with front disc brakes. The carpet in the car was in pretty bad shape, so I took it out so I could get some good shots of the floors. The floors have some issues here and there, but overall are not too bad. The surface rust makes them look worse than they are. The trunk also had a couple of holes which I took some shots of. The car sports a white interior and is also in good shape as you can see from the pictures. This car also has the original factory fiberglass hood with the lightweight hinges .The odometer shows 88,756. The motor is the original 390 . It has 6090G heads that you could also use on a 427 and a C5AE-9424- D aluminum dual quad intake with 460cfm Holley carbs . (It is difficult to make out what the last letter is on the intake. It is either a D,E,or a K. )The power brake booster, wipers, a new starter, interior dome light, rubber trunk moulding , and original distributor also come with the car. The car also has dual exhaust and the frame on the car is in good shape.I also have a bunch of receipts that show that the owner had some work done at "Heads Up Performance" in Edison N.J. In 1980. From what I can tell, he had Hooker Headers installed, Lakewood Traction bars , some Stewart Warner gauges, and some other miscellaneous parts. The car was stored in a building that had a roof leak and the leak only hit the passengers side roof on the corner. The water got underneath the vinyl top on the passenger side of the car and as you can see from the pictures did some damage to the roof. The original wheels are still on the car with a set of bias ply tires and the original spare and jack are also still in the trunk. These cars are becoming more and more scarce all the time. All this little beauty needs is some love and TLC. Please call 215-237-2898 with any questions. If you have zero feedback you NEED to PLEASE call me before bidding on this car. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and charges. Car is not released until all funds have cleared. I can store the car for a short period if need be. Deposit of $500 is expected within 24 hours of end of auction unless other arrangements have been made with me. Full payment is due within 5 days of end of auction.
