Here is a 1970 California Gremlin. Was a 6cyl but has been changed to a Ford 302 and C4 auto. Was a 4V engine but previous owner changed it to a 2V. Electric fuel pump installed to aid with starting. Always starts and runs smooth. Has a nice custom dual exhaust system through mufflers and out the back. Sound is deep but not annoying. Like most early Gremlins this was a no frills car. No a/c, manual steering and manual drum brakes. The car has NO RUST anywhere and quarters have never been damaged. It was used regularly in the TV show Everyone Hates Chris and either in an episode or on the set the drivers door was damaged and so was the drivers fender. I have located a door and fender which are the primered peices on the car. They are in fine shape with no putty. Original fender is included and fixable. I cut the tag off the drivers door if anyone cares and it will go with. Original hood was kept for previous owners other Gremlin. I have a Hornet hood on it now but will put a Gremlin hood on it if buyer prefers the hump look. Grill is off but decent and goes with, it has a few cracks to be repaired but with patience I am sure an amatuer could even handle it. Since the car was mostly on set the last few years and/or in storage its tags were not paid so if to be registered into the California DMV system, $650 is owed. It is arguable and probably can be knocked down to half but that is what DMV records show here. Obviously if taken to another state the fees are whatever your state charges. This car runs and drives fine and was driven 80 miles from location to here just three weeks ago with a temp pass. Title is a CLEAR CA. TITLE. As long as the car is paid in full within the seven working days it can sit for up to four weeks here while buyer makes their shipping arrangements. On Jan-30-12 at 17:34:19 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked to describe paint on car so here it is. Looks amatuer but over a great body. I was also told that classic cars(25 years and older) are exempt from back penalties under the Vehicle Code Law #5050 or by stating at CA. DMV, "Exempt by statute." I have use this in the past, about six years ago and it worked. I believe it probably still exists but DMV won't tell you that. You need to ask them to get pick up the CA. Vehicle Code Book and look up 5050 and they must follow what it says.
