Hello Lotus and English car Lovers! I've got a very rare black 1980 Lotus Eclat S1 sport coupe up for auction. This car was produced in November 1979 and has the fantastic 907 type Lotus twin cam 4 cylinder engine with 170hp with a 5 speed transmission. This particular car was supposedly a show car used by Lotus LTD in 1980 at some international auto shows in the southeast. It has the original red leather and blue velour interior. As far as I can gather the car has been in the southeast its whole life and has lived indoors. This car needs some cosmetic and mechanical work to be road worthy again. She has been off the road in a garage since 2000. The Lotus does run, carbs will need some tuning. The fuel tank will need new fuel lines run and will need a new fuel pump installed. I have a good fuel pump for it. It will also need some shifter bushings, the rear seat will need to be recovered and the will eventually need a paint job. The body is in terrific shape and is made of fiberglass. I know the chassis are prone to rusting to bits on these cars, but this chassis looks good does have surface rusting, but nothing beyond that. Once again, this car has lived indoors most it's life and was a daily driver for the previous owner up until 2000 or so. I do have some spare parts for the car and some new parts for it as well including the mentioned electric fuel pump, accessory belts, timing belts, oil filter, fuel filter and distributor cap. All goes with this nice little car. The car is all original and all there. What a great way to get a super rare, running British sports car for cheapo! This car is sold on a Georgia Bill of Sale. She does run, but she does not drive due to fuel tank and shifter issue. MUST sell I started a new business and need some working capital! Car is located in Chapin, SC at my shop.
