Up for bids is a very clean one owner nonsmoker 97 Dodge 3500 Dually with the Cummins turbo diesel engine. This truck has only 39K original miles and has been well maintained. It has been a South Texas truck its whole life. There is no rust in this truck. Exterior: The truck has a shiny pearl silver over metallic green two tone exterior. The paint looks so good after all these years because it was kept under a covered carport. Chrome accents on the truck include chrome bumpers, cattle guard grill protector and wheel covers. The exterior mirrors pull out to see around large trailer loads. The Michelin tires have a lot of tread left on them. The bed is lined with a Dodge plastic bed liner. For towing duties this truck has a regular receiver hitch, a 5th wheel and a goose neck hitch. The gooseneck plate is included, but is not pictured. The truck has all the necessary clearance lights. The body is very straight and there is no rust. Interior: The grey cloth interior is really like new. The drivers seat always had a cover on it that I removed for the pictures. There are no rips in the seats. The dash is mint - no cracks at all. These trucks are notorious for broken dashes. Again - the covered parking probably saved years on this dash and interior. There are large plastic "catch=all" mats to protect the carpet. The headliner is also mint. Features inside include power windows, locks & driver's seat, cruise control, Infinity sound system and A/C. Drivetrain: The truck is powered by the famous 12V 5.9 Cummins Turbo diesel. This truck starts instantly with no smoke. It is completely stock and has not been modified in any way. It has had oil changes ever 3K with Rotella. The oil was just changed a few miles ago. The batteries were replaced with Optima Red Top gel cell batteries. The truck has a Jasper 5 speed transmission. About 550 miles ago 5th gear went out - fairly common easy fix on this model truck. Tightening the 5th gear nut wasn't known at the time so the transmission was replaced instead. There is a 3 year warranty on the transmission - start date 8/27/10. The differential was serviced at 30K. This truck is in excellent shape and has hundreds of thousands of miles left. It would make a great long hauler. "Shipping Wars" here we come !!! This truck is beautiful, but it is also 15 years old. There may be a few small dings, scratches...etc from normal wear and tear driving. There is a touched up chip on the front of the hood and there is a ding/chip on the tailgate.
