This car has, in all likelihood, been wholly a California car. The person I bought it from had begun a restoration which included an engine rebuild. At that time it was off the road for about 10 years. There was no rust nor significant dents in the body. During its reassembly, it received a new paint job, new upholstery and carpets, a new electrical system, new rear springs, 4 new tires, and miscellaneous new small parts, as well as all new rubber parts, all new brake shoes and rebuilt cylinders. Additionally, it has a new muffler, exhaust pipes, new floor boards and a new steering wheel. The radiator has been flushed and inspected. The distributor, carburetors, starter motor, turn signal system and horns have been refurbished. We found the transmission and differential in good order. Since that time, the car has been driven modestly with no more than 2000 miles on the rebuilt engine. All gauges work properly. Items not in working order are the windshield wiper and dashboard clock. The only items left undone are the top and side curtains. (The top is useable as it.) I will credit the high bidder with an amount of $1500, which is the equivalent of the purchase price for a new canvas top and side curtains from Moss Motors. The odometer is not correct.
