For sale is my 1970 Olds Cutlass Holiday Coupe that I purchased with the intent of making a 442 clone that is running and driving. I will describe this vehicle to the best of my ability, and also highly encourage interested SERIOUS bidders to come and see the car in person. Just contact me through ebay to make arrangements. The car has a 455 CI big block with edelbrock carburator, aluminum intake, true dual exhaust that was done at a custom exhaust shop. It has a TH400 automatic transmission with a Hurst ratchet shifter. The shifter is missing the boot, and although it does work, you have to mess with it sometimes to get it back into park due to a small tab being worn out. There are new 18'' Boss 338 wheels and tires on the car currently with 18x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the back for that classic staggered look of the muscle car. The radiator is a universal racing radiator, but i do not remember the exact brand. Also installed was a adjustable air shocks on the back to allow for the aggressive muscle car stance that I prefer on these. As stated before, the car does run and drive but I have not been driving it much lately so there may be a need for fine tuning. I literally only put apprx 1000 miles on the car since the motor was dropped in, and I say apprx because the odometer was not working at first but I fixed it and now works fine. I would also expect that it will need brake work done from sitting for so long, and if you purchase this vehicle, I would HIGHLY recommend trailering it. I did ensure that the car is cooling, and it idles very smoothly. It also does stop and the brakes are functioning, but they need to be inspected as no one has worked on them in at least 5 years. The top end of the motor has been completely rebuilt, and there was over $1000 invested in having the head work done so it has new push rods, hardened seats, valve springs, and the heads were magnifluxed and tested to make sure they were not warped or cracked. The car currently has a new air breather. The car has brand new racing seats installed along with new but not yet installed racing seat belts (as seen in the pics), and the rest of the interior is pretty decent considering the car is 41 yrs old. The trunk key cylinder is missing, but the latch is there and works just fine, a flat head screw driver unlocks the trunk very easily. I believe I have all the chrome trim that goes around the headlights, if not I have at least most of it. The steering wheel is a pontiac steering wheel. The body on this car has imperfections here and there, including one surface white paint mark from someone car brushed me in a parking lot shown in pics. I was planning on keeping the body as is because the car was going to be a driver, and not a storage shed ornament. The previous owner did cut rust out of the floor board and used sheet metal to patch in at least one spot that I know of. The good news is that you would not know it from inside the car, so as far as function, the floors are solid. There is also a apprx six inch rust hole in the center of the trunk pan. However, the good news on this car (and the reason I jumped on the opportunity to buy it in the first place) is that the frame rails are perfectly solid. I looked at a dozen of these cars before I found one that didnt have rotted away quarters and the frame rails in the rear totally rusted away! Also, it has been at least 5 years since this car was painted, and there is no sign of bubbling paint or rust other than what I described, so whoever painted the car must have done it pretty well. I have attempted to describe this car to the very best of my ability in order to ensure no surprises. In my opinion this car is beautiful and is the perfect father/son project since it has plenty that can be done to make it nicer, but at the same time is already running and driving enough that it's not biting off more than you can chew. My only reason for selling this car is the purchase of my new car, and I have come to the realization that one completed project is better than half a dozen uncompleted... so my loss is your gain on this one. I have much more invested in this car than what the reserve is set at, so the winning bidder should be very happy with this purchase. Obviously this car being 41 years old, it is sold AS-IS with no warranty. What you see is what you get, you can come and start/test drive as long as you have proof of the money to buy it.
