1965 Impala SS 2dr HardtopI have over $11k in receipts invested into this car. She has always been garaged and I have only put about 2k miles on it since I purchased the car in 2009. Everything under the hood was either completely rebuilt or is new with only 4,666 miles on it. Disk brakes all the way around with Cooper Cobra Tires sitting on Crager Torque Thrust wheels. Solid frame/floor pans and 12 bolt rear end. Interior is 95% restored. New carpet, had dash/instrument panel powdercoated, every piece of interior chrome was redone and a year of hunting payed off with the best instrument lenses (no cracks or fogged) and original AM radio. Seats are original as is the headliner and sun visors. Kenwood Excelon CD Player (KDC X994) in the glove box. Glass is original and in above average condition. This is an excellent driver quality vehicle. She needs paint and some badges, door handles and mirrors replaced but then again, I am a perfectionist! Paint looks good from 10ft but the closer you get you can see the imperfections of 1 repaint it recieved prior to my ownership. The car runs great, sounds great, handles nice for a 47 year old and can definetly get up and go quickly. Build sheet, owners manual (no protecto plate) and all receipts go with it. The floor pans are completly coated with a rubber sealer that I assume is standard from the factory since it appears to have been applied along time ago. I took a video while the car was in the air and will post it shortly to the link already provided so check it out this evening. One picture of the paint bubble is located just under the back window, passenger side corner. This is a notorious problem for this model car and as you can see, it is pretty minimal. The other is on top of the drivers side front panel where it and the hood meet. As I originally stated, this car could use paint depending on your intentions. A professional bare metal strip and top quality paint would put her into a whole other class and I believe the reserve price is more than fair for it's current condition.
