Beautiful 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 If you are in the market for a super nice diesel pickup for a great price then look no further! We have a NICE 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the famous 5.9L 12 valve Cummins Turbo Diesel backed by an Automatic transmission. It's an SLT Laramie optioned truck with power options and leather interior. It's a Quad Cab short bed which is extremely hard to find. The truck has Burgandy and Silver two tone paint with gray interior. It has 278k well maintained miles. This truck is 100% bone stock except for the aftermarket stereo and the one piece headlights. It has the factory exhaust and the pump has not been turned up (the tamper-proof screw is still in the pump). This truck has NOT been pulled or raced! It has been a very well cared for truck! The exterior and interior are in excellent condition for its age. The whole truck has been repainted and looks very good. The interior is in great shape with the exception of the typical cracked dash. The leather seat bottoms have been redone and look great. It rides and drives like a brand new truck! This truck is very mechanically sound with absolutely NO strange noises, shakes, or any other mechanical flaws. The truck does have the typical minor front cover leak but should cost no more than $200 to fix. This truck has absolutely no rust and is very clean underneath. The front end is tight and the transmission shifts perfect. The transmission was rebuilt at 260k. The tires have roughly 25-30% tread and is the only thing that will need to be done in the near future. Everything on this truck works including the cruise control, air conditioning, and 4x4. As most Dodge diesel enthusiasts are starting to find out, the 5.9L Cummins is hard to beat. It is not equipped with all the strict emissions equipment that the 6.7L Cummins in the 07.5 and newer trucks have. The 5.9L trucks get far better fuel economy out of the box and do not have the issues with the diesel particulate filter, otherwise known as DPF. These 1998 12 valves are known as the "Holy Grail' of the 2nd generation Ram pickups and are getting very hard to find. This truck WILL sell to the highest bidder.
