I bought this truck from the original owner back in October. I had the intention of building a flatbed truck for towing my boat. I've changed my mind on the vehicle I want to use now. This truck is a Super Camper Special model. I was told they only made a few thousand of these. It has heavy duty suspension and cooling for the extra weight of the slide in camper. On the Super Camper Specials the wheelbase was extended to 140 in. I have the title and a lot of the original paperwork. I took off the single rear tires and put on Ford dual wheels from a similar truck. The original truck had two fuel tanks but the middle one was leaking so I removed it and now it runs off the rear plastic tank. I installed new leaf spring hangers and bushings. I undercoated the frame in the back and installed lights and wiring from the cab back. It has a new Curt Magnum class V hitch. I have two sets of side mirrors- a towing set and a more conventional set. They need to be installed. The muffler is new. The running board are strong enough to stand on and the cab floor is good. The paint job was done recently. It was done by an amatuer but it still looks OK. There is the usual door corner rust holes on the drivers side door but the passenger door is OK. There is some rust holes in the back of the cab but they were fiberglassed from the inside and undercoated from the outside. The engine is a Ford 351M that was rebuilt by the dealer less than 35,000 miles ago. I have the receipts. It also has a C6 transmission and a Dana 70 rear axle. It starts right up and runs very nice. It tracks straight down the road and has no pulling. The front tires have 90% life left and the duallys about 50%. I have all four hubcaps from when the truck had single rear tires. All the lights and gauges work. The heater blower squeels when turned on (I never got around to fixing that). Also the engine leaks a very small amount of oil while running and the tranny drips a few drops of fluid while parked I've noticed. I listed this in December but I removed it because I didn't have the title from the DMV. I have the title in hand now. This item is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
