For Sale, 1996 BMW 318ti. Purchased this 318 last year for my daughter to use for college. On a recent short trip (15 miles?), the water pump stopped working and the car boiled over. The car will turn over but will not start. As it has required other repairs and has not been reliable, we have decided to sell. As listed the car is: 1996 BMW 318tiAutomatic TransmissionSunroofAir ConditioningMileage: 160K Prior to overheating, the engine started and ran well. Brakes are great. Car was driven regularly and is generally OK. Things to fix: The transmission works but does not always shift up/down consistently. The ABS light is on and we've learned that the front wheel ABS wires need to be replaced. The check engine light is on and the computer program indicates that it needs a sensor replaced. There is a stereo in the car but it's not hooked up and should probably be replaced. Air conditioning works but blows cool (not cold) air. The paint is OK but has a few flakes, at some point, the car was repainted in original red. I don't want any buyer to be surprised, it does need work and may need a new engine or ecu. Have a look at the pictures and bid accordingly. As it's a used car, I'm selling with no warranty expressed or implied. The price starts at $500 with no reserve. The buyer is responsible for transportation.
