Up for auction is a 1972 Honda CB500 four cylinder motorcycle with 6,481 actual miles on it. I've known both owners of this bike and knew it was sitting in a barn since 1988. I finally asked to buy it. It is dirty from sitting all those years. I have not even washed it yet. It has a Vetter fairing,hard bags,and back rest. But under that bike is an original CB500 just waiting to be brought back to life. The bike kicks over and feels like it has good compression. The chrome on the wheels looks good and will clean up nice. The fenders are in nice shape. The seat is in very good shape. I wanted to remove the extras and have it the way it was in 1972 but I have way to many of those ideas and have to sell a couple so my wife can park in the garage again. This bike needs a good cleaning and a good tuning to get it back on the road. The rear tire is flat and the front tire looks to be in good shape. The battery is junk . I seen the same bike sell for $3600 here on ebay a few months ago so I dont think a person could lose buying it and bringing it back to life. I only want to get my money back. If not I'll clean it up and get it running. It has a good title. I've done nothing to the bike other than kick it over to make sure it was not locked up. It was stored in a nice dry barn so it is in good shape. It is sold used as-is and needs to be worked on before riding. I can help in shipping it but dont want to deal with the shipping companies. But I will help load it or help put on a pallet. I even travel MN and WI and could bring it with if the buyer is in my travels. If you want it shipped you will have to get rates but I will help ship it. A $100 paypal deposit is due within 48 hours. The remaining can be paid in cash or other depending on when it is picked up or shipped. I can keep it in the garage for a few weeks for you to make arrangments. Thanks for looking.
