Vehicle Detail
BARN FIND 57 bel air convertible. This car belonged to my 93 yr old late great uncle. The car has been in his barn for untold decades. I would rate it a 5 on the old car price guide. The car is generally complete, not running, and in need of a full restoration. It has a V8 and automatic trans, and power top. The crispy old title says color is pink, model 2434, type CV. The top mechanism is all there and in the down position. The interior is in bad shape, along with whats left of the floors. I sold another one in worse condition and way less complete so assume the reserve is reasonably set. Its located in southeast Iowa. I will not deliver the vehicle so plan on coming to get it. Vehicle is AS-IS and for sale locally. I reserve the right to sell it at any time anywhere. Call me for questions at 641-777-2259 in iowa.On Jan-13-12 at 23:43:56 PST, seller added the following information: Opened and closed the drivers door and it worked properly. Seemed rigid and straight with the body, latch and button worked nice, suprised me actually. Vin tag was in its spot too.On Jan-13-12 at 23:49:29 PST, seller added the following information: also think I found the fender skirts. I will try to see if they match before the end of the auction. They will go with the car either wayOn Jan-14-12 at 09:07:30 PST, seller added the following information: The hood hinges worked smooth and nice. Not too tight, but still holds the hood up with snow on it. On Jan-14-12 at 09:16:35 PST, seller added the following information: This is my first ebay listing, with many more tri-five and classics to come. Nomads, tri-fives of all degrees of condition and models. 54-59 caddys, hundreds of classics from late 40s to very early 70s, mostly GM, but some ford, mopar, VW, Willys, Nash, volvo, etc. Contact me through email at courtney.auto@yahoo.com if you have interest in a specific year, make, and model. Dont bother asking me what all I have in general as there are too many to list. On Jan-14-12 at 12:56:58 PST, seller added the following information: The fender skirts do not match, but their included anywayOn Jan-14-12 at 14:26:51 PST, seller added the following information: also the frame seems to be fully usable when I looked while on my car hauler. The gas tank is still strapped under the rear. I not promising anything about the frame or tank, but at a glance their in tact. Feel free to view the car in person before the end of the auction. On Jan-14-12 at 22:07:13 PST, seller added the following information: I also have an empty fiberglass shell of a 57 bel air convertible made in canada in the late 80s I believe. It will be coming up for auction on here eventually. Other convertibles, both steel ones and fiberglass, finished and unfinished as well. Please have patience as I am not quite ready to move these other cars just yet. Hopefully by spring or summer several will be listed on here. Feel free to inquire through my email though.
