1965 VOLKSWAGEN SUNROOF BEETLE (BUG) - RUNS & DRIVES - ORIGINAL CONDITION This is a rare 1965 Volkswagen Sunroof Beetle (Bug) that runs and drives and is in basically all original condition. V.I.N. #115040698 with a clean PA title. You don't see many of these factory Sunroof Beetles since they only made them for four years from 1964 to 1967. The odometer shows 8,021 miles on it so I assume that it has 108,021 actual miles on it. The exterior is light blue and it has a white/offwhite interior. The body is in pretty good condition especially for its age only showing a few spots here and there that could use a little attention. It appears that it may have been repainted at some point a very long time ago but otherwise appears to be in basically original condition. The left and right floor pans do have the typical rust and need replacement as most beetles do. The running boards should also be replaced (Mainly the right side, the left side doesn't look too bad ). The drivers side seat it not mounted to the floor due to the floor pan rust. The seats all seem to be in pretty decent condition. I don't know a whole lot about it mechanically but It starts right up and runs extremely well, I only drove it around town a little but it seems to drive and stop very well also. It recently had the generator and battery replaced along with some brake work done to it (new master cylinder, wheel cylinder, some lines/hoses, etc.) The tires all have dry rot from sitting and definitely need replacement. The muffler is somewhat loud and should be replaced. The sunroof does seem to work though the crank handle is broken and I didn't want to open it all the way up until the handle was replaced. This is definitely a great and rare early Sunroof Beetle to fix up a little and drive around looking all original or a perfect one to restore. It was some sort of foreign country scam purchase that I reported to Ebay and they handled accordly. The vehicle is now again and was previously listed for United States buyers only but somehow Ebay dropped the ball and allowed someone from a foreign country to do the "Buy it Now" I'm now relisting the vehicle and would like to remind everyone not to make an offer or do the "Buy it Now" unless you are a "real person" and intend on paying for the vehicle and completing the transaction.
