Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a 1956 Buick Special Station Wagon. This car was just purchased from an estate auction. This car runs , stops , and drives . It has a 322 cubic inch nailhead with a 3 speed transmission with column shift. As you can see from the pictures, it is a really solid car that is in nice shape. The car has an old paint job but is still presentable and would make a cool cruiser. The frame is in really nice shape and the interior is also looking pretty good for 55 plus years old . The door panels still have the original plastic covers on them. The car did not come with carpet but instead came with a rubber mat. The rubber mat is very brittle and cracked in some spots. The drivers side floor needs some patch work as you can see from the pictures. The original floor insulation under the rubber mat is also still there and should probably be replaced. The chrome is all there , but could stand to be redone if someone wanted to make a show car out of this thing. The stainless steel trim is also all there and is in pretty nice shape. The original spare is still in the spare tire compartment in the back of the car. The car is also sporting a set of wide white wall tires and they are not reproduction tires from what I can tell. There is a dent directly in the center of the hood where it looks as if someone backed into it at one time. For fear of making it worse, I figured I would leave it alone and let the next guy deal with it. The paint code shows that the car is originally an all black car with the paint code AAA. I'm sure that with a black roof on the car it got pretty hot, so somewhere along the lines they painted the top of the car white. The color is "Carlsbad " Black for 1956. The car is a radio delete car and the odometer is showing 71, 000 miles. The car had been off of the road for some time as you can see that the last inspection sticker was 1978. This car just needs some TLC and some love . You could either do a full restoration on this black beauty or cruise it just the way it is. Oh, I forgot to mention that the rear tailgate still functions and the rear window opens and closes as well. The car cover comes with the car. Give me a call with any questions. 609-780-1308. Eric. The car is located in Quakertown Pennsylvania . Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and setting up shipping. Car does not leave until all funds have clea
