Up for sale is my 1970 El Camino SS 454. She is a real head turner and I alwasy get complimented whenever I take her out. First things you should know: Numbers do not match! Body / paint are not perfect. If you are looking for a great driver this would be the one. If you are looking to make her into a trailer queen or a show car this would be one great start becasue all the mechanics have been done! On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being perfect, the paint and body are about at a 6), The Paint has imperfections, some scratches and on the passenger side rear quarter pannel, there is a scrape where someone brushed against it. Becasue I drove it and enjoyed it, and it looks good the paint was always "last on my list". None the less I have over $15k alone invested in the engine, Trans and other mechanics that were recently finished on the vechicle. All the recent Mechanical upgrades and work that as been done: 454 Engine (this was the engine that was in the vehicle when I purchased it) was taken out and compltely remanufactured with in the last 6 months. 400 Turbo Automatic Transmission was replaced approximately 2 years ago. The following components include: A new carburator A complete new cooling system - including new Desert cooler radiator New fuel pump New Braking system to include master cylinder & new power brake booster New Gas Tank Sendng Unit Complete New Air Condition System to include new blower motor, most related A/C components were replaced under the hood. A complete new Dash & assembly to include gauges and wiring was replaced to factory specifications. Most of the Weather Stripping was replaced. New BF Good Rich Tires This EL Camino Drives great. Has tons of power and I would drive it anywhere. Temp Stays nice and cool even in the Las Vegas 110 degree heat with the A/C on!
