1978 Honda Gold Wing

This Honda GL1000 is up for auction with a reasonable starting price. I am selling it for a friend who's husband took it apart back in 1989. He has since passed away and she ask me to get it running and to sell it. I feel it is a good project for someone wanting to restore an old classic. It does smoke on start up but once wam it doesn't. (norm!) It needs, a " B- Return" Throttle Cable, Front and Rear Tires (dry rot) & Front Turn Signals if you don't use the Fairing that is included, Steering Stem Bearings, (Self Centers and Steers nice in a Staight Line but look out on the corners!) R & L Side Cover attaching Bolts, Ignition Coil (I put a GL1100 Coil on it and it works fine) and the Clutch Arm will stick from time to time. I've sprayed the Clutch Arm with WD 40 and I truthfully think this bike just needs ridden. The fuel tank is clean and I cleaned the carburetors and installed a new fuel filter and a used Fuel Pump. I honestly believe the owner took this apart back in 1989 because of the bad coil. It would run on three cylinders then kick in on all 4 and back and forth like that. Once I diagnosed it I believe I found what he was experiencing. The gauges work, (neutral light did and then went out) the bikes alternator works and I hope this bike finds a new owner. I would rate it a 6 out of a 10...it is what it is, as they say.
