Vehicle Detail

" 1963 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible " I have here a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible that's going No Reserve! I'm going to keep this very short and very sweet. I have several videos of cars that I have restored and one I'm actually doing right now that will be finished Saturday or Sunday that shows a frame up nut and bolt restoration. Nobody in the country can beat my price, quality and time frames for completion. I don't believe you can have it done down in Mexico for what I will do it for . So why I am so reasonable ? I do all the labor myself and nothing is farmed out which keeps my costs low and next all my parts are close by so I pay nothing in shipping and last I get the cars done in a timely fashion because quite frankly I want paid as much as you want the car. So I have an incentive to get it done and I also am very friendly with oversea's buyers and have sold to the Netherlands,Germany several times and France and Norway and even Australia. I am very easy to deal with and understand time differences and work with shipping companies. With the buy it now price of $12,000.00 the car will be Shipped for FREE by Able Auto Transport to the lower 48 states only please and if you're close I may deliever it myself. Able Auto Transport is licenced and bonded and you can look them up online. Now to the car . This is a 1963 Beetle Convertible with a Clear open CALIFORNIA title in hand . The car as of right now is about 70% restored and was just receintly painted although I have no problem repainting the car inside and out any color a person wants if you buy a resoration from me. I take the cars bead blasted inside and out and then repainted and reassembled in normally about 3 to 4 weeks. This car is not a turn key ready . It does need the motor installed and it will need the convertible top installed although I do have the complete convertible top frame but nothing else will be included, no bows no rubbers just the metal frame. There is all practial terms no interior other then seats that need reulpostered, there is no door panels, carpet, sun visors just the seats front and back. There is also the speedometer gauges and such but no acutal ready to go interior . Next , this is a real Convertible and somewhere along the line the body tag was removed but the chassis does match the title which is a convertible and is a 1963 . All the glass is there and there is roughly $2,000.00 in new parts for this car that I just purchased. The tires are okay nothing special and it does have a lowered front end the Cali look which is very popular out here. We can go on and on about the car but it really needs to be fully restored . I personally paid $3,800.00 for this car down in Los Angeles and put another $4,000.00 in parts and labor in it and had to search high and low just to find the top frame at a cost over $700.00 without the bows and needing sand blasted and repaired.I can solve all these issues and have this a turn key finished restoration in a color of your choice to above driver condition or show and shine with a new rebuilt engine and tranmission 1600 CC dual port for $12,000.00 . You can pick the colors of paint, convertible top, door panels, carpet ,sun visors and build the car that you want and not except the car that you find. I will not push anybody to buy the restoration from me and there is no negotating after the auction . If the car sells for $5,000 I will not put a top on for you unless I do the whole restoration which is $12,000.00. I offered this once before and someone demanded me to put the top on for him so it could be shipped to Canada . I do not work that way and there will be no extra work of any kind if the restoration is not purchased. This is strictly an as is sale at that point and that is fine with me .If you are having the car shipped out of state I will install the motor for shipping purposes only . I will not start it and I will not be responsible to be in running condition . To many times I have sold these projects and we go to load them on the trailer and a carb issue happens , a starter sticks ,points burn out or I even had one to the switch burned out and I am then spending more of my own money on a car that has already been bought and spending the afternoon fixing it so it will go on the trailer and of course will run for years down the road but my point being these are 40 and close to 50 year old cars and my new lincoln has been in the shop. If you watch my videos and check out my great feedback and other cars I have done and you can make the decision . I will add a buy it now for only serious bidders that are ready to purchase now. I go the extra mile and go all over California traveling to pick up good solid cars and do the leg work so you don't have to and the prices on these beetle convertibles have been going up steadly and getting harder to find and more expensive. On Jan-01-12 at 11:26:24 PST, seller added the following information: I have had questions on what is included so I want to make this very clear . I started off the bidding at $900.00 which is almost the price I paid just for the convertible top frame, which the top itself is not in great shape and will need work. So I will try to make this easy so there is no surprizes , it has a cheap cheap paint job and it needs a complete restoration . It is about 70% a complete car but the bumpers pictured are not included there are many many parts it will need such as fender beading and many rubber items ,the brakes need to be gone through but the car rolls fine but had sat for close to 15 years so again I stress ,this car needs to be completely restored but again it is a 1963 convertible which is very hard to find in any condition anymore .Also the jack support rails needs to be replaced but the car does not sag and the heater channels are in good shape . This is a very common issue even for California cars but I can fix both sides for around $400.00 and it will be better then new. The floor pans have been replaced with full floor pans and no patch work of old pans. The front and rear aprons have been replaced and the back deck lid consists of a good original coupe and a rough convertible with the correct vents that you can make a real nice deck lid out of I paid $250.00 just for the vents . These cars are not cheap and parts are not cheap and finding them is not easy . I can find 68 and up all day ,everyday but 65 and back are much harder . I'm not expecting to get all my money back and never my labor and that is why I opened it up at $900.00 because I don't want any problems on a No Reserve auction. The engine that is included is a buildable 1500 cc . Okay if you want to solve all these issues and have the car a turn key ready to go with no leg work then I'm offering a full restoration for $12,000.00 which includes the car and I will only replace the jack rails at a cost of $400.00 for winning bidder and that is the only extra work that will be done if wanted and I will be paid in full regardless. The only other work is done if the full restoration for $12,000.00 is purchased. You are more then welcome to bid and buy the car and do the restoration yourself. Now for anybody that has bid or the lead bidder as of now with the bidding at $1900.00 you are not obligated to buy if you did not understand the ad or was not clear. I have far more in it then what it's at right now and it won't break my heart to keep it for this price. What I was going to do with the car is use it as a rat rod with no top and just cruise in it. Terms: Deposit immediatly at end of auction by paypal of $500.00 and full payment in 3 days of auctions end by bank wire transfer or bank certified funds over nighted . Winning bidder is to contact me at the end of auction at 805-975-4895 . If I don't hear from the winning bidder 1 hour after auctions end I reserve the right to relist the car or offer a second chance offer. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
