1985 Honda Four Trax 250

1985 Honda Four Trax 250 2x4 ATV This is an intact ATV that wouldn't start after the choke cable broke. It has sat under a tarp for the past 5 years or so. It could be used as a parts bike but would also be a nice project since it should not take much to get it running. When I was able to start it it ran well. I was told by the teacher of a power sports voc-ed program I took it to that the engine was strong. There were no leaks and it did not smoke. He replaced the solenoid on the starter with a used one telling me it would "break in" but it never did. The starter worked fine when the solenoid did work. Currently I can kick it over with the foot start but with no firing. The bike was painted camouflage and has some red paint coming through. The back plastics look fine and the front have been repaired with a soild rivet job. The tires appear to still have good tread and seem to still hold air. I recall thinking I would need to do a rear brake job as the brakes would catch slightly as if out of round. There is surface rust/corrosion on some metal surfaces about what one would expect from a bike that sat five years under a tarp. The seat is in pretty good shape with no rips or holes. There is no rust in the gas tank and I was surprised how clean it looked. The bike is sold as is. I may put this ATV up for sale locally so if I get an offer I can't refuse I reserve the right to end the auction early! Happy New Year to all!
