Vehicle Detail

This is a 68 Triumph GT-6, 4 spd. with O/D. It was a frame off restoration. Motor and carbs were rebuilt, frame and body bead blasted and painted, new drilled rotors, brake pads and shoes, new shocks, new 14" "Super Lite" rims, new Yokohama tires, clutch and pressure plate, master and slave cylinder, bushings replaced throughout, new wood dash (custom made), JVC Radio- CD, AMFM, IPOD and MEMORY STICK, with new speakers. It has new carpet and a sound/heat mat similar to Dynamat, but not quite sure what was used. The motor starts, idles and runs sooo smooth!!! Car was purchased in 1978 or 79, I had a 70 GT-6+ and happened to see this car in the neighborhood. Used it as my 2nd vehicle, sold the GT-6+ and moved out, but the 68 remained in my Parents garage. In 2006 my Father began restoring the vehicle. It was his first restoration and unfortunately it was his last. He died of cancer soon after the car was finished. The car was entered in the Channel Islands British Car show and for all his hard work, time and money, he went home with 1st place in it's category. He was so proud and so were we. I have had the car now since he passed away. I changed the transmission which was the only item he did'nt rebuild and figures it failed. I installed a donor transmission from another 68 GT-6. This is an O/D unit with all the relays and column switch, trans was drained, cleaned and filled, road tested and put away. O/D works very nice, tranny synchro's in 1-2 and 2-3 aren't in the greatest shape, but the short time I drove it, it was quite manageable. Speedo cable that came with trans is bad, I have ordered one. There are a couple very small spots where paint has chipped, both are on front edge of doors. I am selling this car because I want someone to enjoy it as much as we did. I can't afford to keep it so I must sell it, Hopefully to someone who will drive it, enjoy it, and just have fun with it. Good Luck! Kurt If you would like to see more pictures, email me and I will send you a link.
