1997 Ford Escort Sport Hello, and welcome to our listing. We are selling a '97 Escort Sport, 4 door, with 189,923 miles. This car was a daily driver until the end of October, when the transmission went out. Right now it has no forward gears; only reverse. Aside from the need for a replacement trans, the vehicle is in overall decent condition for its age and milage. The engine starts right up and sounds great. Oil was changed regularly. No leaks. The interior is in fair shape and will need a good cleaing and detailing. No rips or tears however. The body is in alright shape; minor dings and dents, most of them being on the hood and roof. The passenger mirror broke and was repaired at one point to keep it from moving, but I would recommend replacing it. The paint is in good shape for its age. It's been sitting for two months, so it is dirty. There is little rust on the undercarraige - it is pretty clean. Paint is purple metallic, and the interior is gray. Car passed inspection in October '10, currenty it is out of inspection. It should pass again once the trans is replaced. Tires are only about 1 1/2 yrs old, and have plenty of tread left. Vehicle is equipped with the following: AM/FM Radio, plus CD changer in the trunk!
