This is my beautiful restored 1970 Dodge Challenger coupe. This car was fully restored (body-off) about 8 years ago and it looks beautiful. The car is equipped with a 440 cid V8 engine and automatic transmission. This car is being sold with NO RESERVE. This car was built as a cost-no-object toy for a retired car collector. It is only up for sale now because the owner simply didn't have time to drive it. This car was originally equipped with a 318 V8 and air conditioning, but when it was restored, the 440 was put in and the A/C was removed. The air conditioning control unit is still in place, so someone could reinstall A/C if they wanted to. PANTHER PINK is the most desirable color for these cars. It was rare to begin with, and is a sought-after collector's color. The car has the following equipment- 440 big block V8 (4-bbl carburetor) automatic transmission (727 Torque-Flite) ARA/Cuda-style Flowmaster exhaust- exits before rear wheels Panther Pink paint job Hooker ceramic-coated exhaust headers power steering This car is the result of a first-class restoration job done by the owner of over 20 years. He wanted this car to be top-quality in every way, and it shows. The car has all new suspension, front-end, fuel lines, brakes, etc. Everything that could possibly be replaced was redone with brand new parts. To look under this car you'd think you could eat off the underside. The 440 V8 is correct for the time period of this car. It was purpose-built for this car at the time of the restoration. It has very few miles on it, like the restoration, only a few thousand. This car runs and drives like a dream. It starts up like a top and it runs beautifully, with a nice growl and throaty sound. The car is snappy, responsive and tight in every way. It is a true American muscle car- powerful and purposeful, with a gorgeous look and sound. The paint is in beautiful condition- it is about 8 years old and looks great. The body is rust-free and there is NO BONDO or body filler in this restoration- they started with a perfectly clean car. This is an all-metal car. There are a few tiny scratches, nicks, imperfections, etc in the paint- very minor. No dents or dings or any consequence. The hood is flat-black, all metal (not fiberglass). The stickers read 340 Six Pack but obviously the car has a 440. The owner's intent was to create a bit of a surprise under the hood. All of the guages are working, and the car is completely reliable and runs perfectly. The car has highway gears, not drag gears so it isn't tiresome to drive around. The odometer reads 45,650 and the mileage on the title reads "exceeds mechanical limits". This is a gorgeous, beautiful classic muscle car. It is rare, collectible and turns heads everywhere. This car will continue to appreciate as Mopar muscle becomes more and more desirable. Don't have the same Mustang and Camaro as everyone else- drive this Challenger and make a statement!
