Up for sale is my 1950 Chevrolet 3100 / half ton pickup. Since I purchased this truck (August 2009) it has been garage stored and only sparingly driven. It drives ok, but I find it difficult to put in reverse (unless it is just my unfamiliarity with the 'three on the tree' manual transmission). The body is in pretty decent shape, although the paint is not perfect (there are drips and puckers). The worst of the rust is in the floor pan - several areas are rusted through and were patched, and the bumpers. It has, I was told, a 1953 3.9L engine. I have replaced the box boards, headlights, taillights, tailgate chains and protectors, carpet and pad, headliner, front bed panel, fuel bowl and fuel pump. I have new sunvisors and a carburetor rebuild kit for it that will go with it. I am trying to sell it because I don't have the time to properly work on it, much less restore it. It is a workout to drive, having been raised on things like power steering, power brakes, etc. But it is a nice little truck that definitely caught people's attention when I would drive it in my area. If I can't get the reserve price for it, then I am quite happy to keep on owning it. I'm not in a position in which I 'have to' sell it. The successful bidder will have to coordinate and pay for transport or shipping from north-central Maryland at his / her expense.
